Do you use any kind of liquid cleaner on the scotch brite pad before running it? Just moisten it some not dripping wet? I imagine what you've got rigged up there works good for your scale but I'm not sure the scotch brite pad would work for smaller scales like HO and N. Very neat and interesting way of doing it though. 👍

I have always used this on my smaller scale train track as well, try a little and see dont bear down on it just a slight scuff will do
