I had the same cloud screen issue too on my g9300gb. But when the guys in gshock checked, its because of the leaked battery. But im amazed it’s still working even though the battery leaked inside. Incredible piece of art 😁👍🏻💪🏻

I bought the version with both the solar and radio time setting. Excellent! The display on mine is a negative display with light gold color fonts. I like this watch a lot.

I'm thinking of getting this watch. It just looks so techy. I'm into techy watches these days and I like the idea of a durable watch (having been using automatics for many years). I'm buying from an online store for $123 so it probably isn't the atomic version but so what. The only thing that's deterring me is the humongous size. I dunno. I'll think about it for a few days. Edit - well, I ordered this watch a day after posting the comment above and today, 01/17/2018, 12 long days later, I finally received the package. It's a very nice watch that'll make you feel macho. A bit difficult to read given the dark display and the buttons are a bit hard to push but those are integral parts of this watch. You can configure it to turn on the EL backlight when you look at it by turning your wrist 40° so no problem with visibility anymore and the harder buttons do help avoid accidental presses. Overall, just an amazing watch. Tons if functionality, complications, macho looks and toughness that's second to none for $120.

I think there’s a manufacturing flaw with these models. If you look at amazons customer reviews on this model you’ll see many people claiming the same flaw, fogging inside the crystal. That’s the only thing keeping me from buying this (or the GXW) watch. I think I’ll save up and go for a Frogman instead.

It has to do with casing the watches in a more humid climate like Thailand. When it's cold outside the trapped water in the watch from the manufacturing in Thailand makes this foggy effect.

I have this version it’s really nice but you can feel better quality from a froggy, I see you wear yours on the second hole ! You have small wrists ,I wear mine on the 7th hole

If you send the watch to Casio service they can clean the inside of the watch, change the glass, put new gaskets, and verify for water resistance. If you can do the work yourself you can order the parts from Casio.

Concerning the moisture inside the GX 56BB don't push any of the buttons when submerging in water or showering. Moisture will get in.

I think one can get rid of the condense at a watchmaker. Ive also heared that condense can appear inside watches even if they arent broken in anyway. It is often mentioned in the manuals of watches.

It could happen but it takes time. Anyway, I managed to get rid of those condensation on my own just by blow drying it and re-apply some sealant. I'm all good.

Press light button and hold until 'LT' pops up on screen. Thats, ON. Just tilt your wrist and it'll glow the screen. Only when the solar panel didn't detect presence of light.

I believe the 2nd layer is to hold the solar panel. I've noticed this creates problems as some user's watch develops haziness or fog between the 2 layers, and it creates a lot of difficult in cleaning.

These models usually tend to get foggy over time. Water vapours get trapped in between the glass & solar panel and blur the display underneath. Cleaning is required which is incredibly hard to do since it is hard to remove the solar panel in the first place. If thats not the case, then probably some capacitors are failing thus blurry display. In this case, circuit board swap is required. Usually, it is only because of the fog.

Ouch!. If it is still under warranty, you could have it replaced. But if you didn't, looking for parts is really hard. I usually will buy another GX56 model of any color (their glass are the same) and use it as parts. Sell the rest or keep just in case other parts broke in the future. This is way more cost efficient than purchasing a new parts separately.
