The great musician-composer Suchindram Shri Sivasubramanyam's iconic composition, Gita Nayakan, has been presented so stunningly by his granddaughters! This piece stands out not only for its musical brilliance, but also for the seemingly simple, but incredibly profound lyrics, chronicling the avatar of Shri Krishna, the bestower of Parama Padam, the Supreme Abode! This song has always been my favourite and I was pleasantly surprised when it dropped at the conclusion of Shri Krishna Puja last night. Thank you Akkarai Subhalakhmi and Akkarai Sornalatha for this sweet prasad! Big shout out to Charsur’s amazing recording and to the beautiful camerawork and production. Happy Janmashtami! May we all follow the Gita way of life, as prescribed by the Supreme Lord.

It sounded serene and splendid as much it was the first time I heard it from an old record of Subha akka back from the 90’s. A composition that holds the place of stars from a galaxy of Tata’s compositions. Thank you Subha Akka and Latha Akka.

Very pleasing composition and well sung as usual… I would like to have the lyrics also posted to help get well trenched with the lyrical beauty, as at times we miss to clearly hear the lyrical phrases due to sangat is and brigas…. Hope this would be addressed .. Thanks

Excellent composition with splendid singing and production. One small clarification madam. In the anupallavi, I see a word பாதாரமே. Is it பாத + ஆரமே means the feet adorned with garland? We have come across terms like பாதாரவிந்தமே. பாதஹாரமே has become பாதாரமே in pure tamizh? Thanks.
