@Earthboundmike Жыл бұрын
FYI the invisible players thing isn't always the fault of the player. I've loaded into a raid with a friend and he was 100% invis to me. Also several of the other people in that raid apparently. Because of that incident I realized one time when I was in fact invisible to some people. Like, 2 of 3 in the group couldn't and the 3rd one was so startled to see me standing in between his friends he shot me. Also my friend has made 2 corpses that I've seen him looting, but I was not in fact able to loot because they just were flat out not there. He was VERY able to see them though lol.

Goat did godswork when it comes to opening the eyes to casual players The argument that people will go and cheat since it's easy is pathetic because these players will not stick around for longer than a few hours since there is no profit at all to cheating like that Also saying "oh well we already knew that duh" is showing that many players (especially Content Creators) do not understand that while yes playing for ~6 hours a day will maybe get you into cheaters less since more rounds played=more normal players per lobby compared to cheaters but the dudes out there like yours truly who only have 2 hours a day to play will stop playing after getting killed in a sussy way once and go play other games that don't have such issues. Tarkov community has played divide and conquer with itself for years now and just now it became really obvious. For the time being every casual player should just switch to other games like Insurgency or Squad or even Stalker if you dont care for the Multiplayer aspect. For change to occur Tarkov needs to lose players because pulling at the wallet of companies is sadly how that works nowadays.

I started playing spt about a week before Goat's video. The performance issues in full servers were just too much to handle, but I'll go back when I update my rig. What I wanted to say though, I started playing last October, and the scale of cheating was apparent early on. I asked a few times on Reddit about sus deaths, to the usual chorus of SKILL ISSUE. The thing is, I'm not an idiot, I understand my lack of game knowledge could lead to a lack of awareness, limiting my ability to determine what is sus, but it really was obvious people were using ESP. I understand people and probability well enough to know when I'm getting fucked. People cheat at everything, all the time. As someone who finds that sort of thing distasteful, who would like people who cheat to be put on a register like sex offenders so everyone knows how lacking in balls they are, I just can't be dealing with giving them any satisfaction by playing.

And successfully ID'ing cheaters gains you cultist rep or something. A soft lock would also be really fitting. You're prevented from using some core game function like the flea or eating or something, or every raid is tagged and cursed. Basically neuters the account, but slowly enough so the cheater wastes time with it before realizing.

You see, implementing an Overwatch style review system would be terrible, it only works in CS:GO because the game is free and cheaters are blatant. Just look for what happened in the TF2 community with the player called 'Fatmagic', dude is a GODLY sniper main and he got accused by a LOT of people in the community, solely because 1. A coincidence happened and his aim was somewhere convenient and 2. He was just a very amazing player So I feel like the whole Overwatch system would be a bad idea, specially in a game like EFT where as it was exposed, a bunch of cheaters are VERY subtle about it.

Been around for a little bit in tarkov, since labs was free and we were wearing armored rigs AND armor, I can't remember what year that even was because my memory is dogwater, but I'm still very much a casual as fuck tarkov player and I just have 0 will to play it anymore. I always wondered if something was up with certain deaths. I know I'm not great, I'm very much one of the types of players that MAYBE gets in about 8 hours a week into tarkov because of work. However, given that I've been around for a while I know when something just didn't feel right. After watching Goat's video ( I was on hiatus because I was just assuming I'm getting too old and can't keep up with Adderall infused teenagers ) I've just kinda lost any and all interest of returning until they can prove the game is going in a direction that's going to deal with this shit. Cheating is rampant in a lot of fps games don't get me wrong but in those games I don't lose so much of my valuable time which is VERY limited, because someone was cheating. It's usually just " Fuck I died " and then 3 seconds later it doesn't matter. Tarkov deaths matter more than other game deaths because of the time investment, because you're putting so much of your LITERAL life out the door just to play it. We don't get another go around and if I have free time, I want to spend it doing something that feels like it was worth the time spent. Not ponder if I've wasted years following the game just because some script kiddies are ruining it for the legitimate players. Leviticus correctly didn't name any particular people when he talked about the streamers, good on him. I however don't give a toss, fuck Lvndmark. Dude needs to stop selling that dogwater he calls an opinion when he's just making things objectively worse for the community by being a nay saying Nancy all the fucking time. I don't personally care if he's cheating, dude has a personality like a cactus plant. He's everything wrong in the top end players for Tarkov in my opinion and quite frankly the fact he spent his entire time dismissing goat's video instead of actually listening to what the man had to say just proves to me he has no concern for this issue whatsoever. By extension, that means he doesn't care about the player experience for 90% of his fan base. Because, unlike most people they follow, they don't play Tarkov for a living and the overall average player stats that have been listed for Tarkov players shows how " good " most people really are. That's not an insult. You don't have to think someone's cheating but dismissing cheat concerns and by extension actively trying to nay say ANY accusations makes you part of the problem. Skepticism is healthy, blind disregard is predatory.

I'm casual (at least as of now i am on my way to becoming a sweat probably who knows) and i have to say if anything this video MOTIVATED me Having a mindset of "oh well maybe with my 40% survival rate i am doing much better than i thought i was if most of them are cheaters" Plus i say it time and time again, i have seen so many MORE cheaters in my days of playing CSGO competitively that i am kind of numb to it and about expected that 60% value that was revealed by the video Also can i just talk about the grammar? 7:10 ask A QUESTIONS lol

around 5:00 is exactly what i was thinking. since cheaters were on the rise i figured i would take a break until the issue was handled or fixed

i always thought i did really well as a solo player in tarkov, but never ran labs or overly expensive gear just because it felt id never reach a situation where it would help me. dying to cheaters in 1mil gear sucks and players i can reliably kill in class 5 armour and barely modded guns. for me it ruins the experience knowing how much better everyone would be and feel and how much overall fun we could be having if this wasnt such a big problem.

After maxing traders and finishing punisher last wipe I feel accomplished. 1100 hrs and I feel like I beat the game. I'm done with Tarkov even before this crappy cheater news happened. Edit: also Dark and Darker has replaced it for me lol.

As someone who just bought the game I can say without a doubt that the few times I've been juicy from 20 minutes of looting on the _finest_ of loot in streets, having someone know what building and room I was in exactly to come mag dump me whilst I was looking on the map as to where to extract is particularly funny. Didn't fire a shot, was silent from creeping everywhere and still got found. It's happened to me a few times, when I've got nothing I don't get domed, when I'm heading to extract and I've got loot out of my ass I'm always found, I'm always dead in one or two shots. Fix your shit nikita I swear to christ.

I grinded the game hard at the start, I am onto kappa now, just 2 more levels, but I haven't had any desire to play at all recently.

in 14days...since the video... the player base dropped from recent peak of 394k players down to 258k yesterday(12th of March) thats a HUGE hit. Yes there will always be peaks n troughs depending on wipes and stuff but those peaks n troughs usually play out over 30-90 days not 2 weeks

As a casual this video was the last straw for me, tho i had already mostly stopped before I for a while thought i was just dogwater and my reflexes were just not good enough, which is why i migrated to doing mostly night raids moving silently and remaining unseen, yet just about every fucking time some random cheater would throw a nade despite not having made any sound myself, orbital strike style on my face over f'ing walls, or i would get prefired no matter where i was trying to lay low

I'm a fairly new casual player and to me, while I was glad to see the video, I think some of what's been said feels a little overblown. Have I probably been killed by a cheater? Yes, but nearly all of my recent deaths were me just getting outplayed. I have no plans to stop playing for now as I want to see what happens over the next few months and as I move into the mid-wipe before I make a decision.

One thing I noticed was the big money streamers were the ones with really shit takes. Perhaps there's money being paid through the back door by BSG to ensure certain comments from streamers with big followings.
