Another excellent team. I remember that year. In the 90s, nobody could beat the Chiefs, and the defense forced a turnover almost every turn on defense, and everything.

When that dude pulled Willie Davis down by the facemask my whole body felt that! Those helmet to helmet hits did not age well. Those points aside, this video is amazing. Go Chiefs!

From a 44~year Seahawks fan here, this is GREAT NFL historical record!!....And it was really super to re~watch my ol' hero Dave Kreig get such a solid 2nd~chance in '92 with such a superb coach & team~the crushing playoff loss to SD notwithstanding. I read an interview once, where Kreig singled out Marty as an exceptional coach{along with Chuck Knox) in his 19~year NFL career, saying it was "the way he did things" that brought out the best in Kreig & others; an example: in '93 after being shifted to "relief pitcher" for the rejuvenated Joe Montana, Dave proved he was the consummate pro & team guy for the Chiefs by winning 3 games @ QB for them that year, as well as throwing a TD pass in the wild~card playoff win vs. Steelers & then, in the AFC Championship vs. Bills, coming in for the injured Joe & steadying the Chiefs to their only TD that game & keeping them close until the 4th~quarter..... One last classy memory of Dave & the Chiefs came the next year, on Thanksgiving Day '94, after Kreig QB'ed the Lions{his new team he'd signed with in FA) to an impressive win vs. the Bills, NBC interviewed him after that win & I remember so well how Dave made a point of giving a big shout~out to the Chiefs & some of his OL guys like Szott, Alt & Grunhard, right on the air! How CLASSY & proof positive of how great a coach Marty was & the high level/standard the Chiefs held to, as an organization. Of course I'm kinda "biased", but I still think Dave Kreig deserves continued serious consideration to be inducted in Canton{HOF), considering his truly amazing journey to thriving in the NFL~against THEEE LONGEST odds~and still having passing/QB numbers in the top 20~25 all-time even up to now!....I'll always have & hold a 'special place' reserved for the '92 Chiefs!

When the chips were down in the playoffs, Marty's teams melted. 0-9 collective record versus John Elway, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly and Tom Brady. 1-1 versus Moon. 0-3 collective record versus Stan Humphries, Jim Harbaugh and Chad Pennington. 4-0 collective record versus Pat Ryan, Jack Trudeau, Jay Schroeder and Neil O'Donnell. If the other other team's QB was great, KC didn't have a chance except for that one come-from-behind win Joe Montana earned over Warren Moon.

Ur talking when Marty's coached playoff teams in Cleveland (85-88), KC (90-95, 97) and San Diego (04, 06)

When they had Joe Montana they had a chance. He led them to the AFC championship in 1993. Its too bad Joe didn't get more time to play in KC they could have won a Superbowl

@@tomhood7343 they woulda stood no chance in the super bowl vs dallas in jan 94....they woulda looked sideways at joe and he woulda folded like he was known to do.....but, the bills looked hard and long at mr. fragile....and he was down for the count, once again.....look at his road playoff record,please.

Chiefs started downhill when they traded Neil Smith to Denver..How on earth could they break up Neil and DT. That move set the team off, then the very sad loss of DT..Chiefs were never the same.
@graciemaemarie11jones165 жыл бұрын
@jaboo82681 they traded their best player...kind of same story when the 49ers traded charles haley, the best pass rusher maybe in football history, to dallas....look what happened-dallas crushed the 49ers two straight years. in 97 if we had smith, (and a real coach) we woulda been in SB vs green bay.....

Marty Schotenhaimer was an amazing coach, probably only second to Hank Stram when it comes to the chiefs history, because he never had the amoun of talent that Andy's team have had. He made me wanna see the chiefs again, they were always competing, is too bad that their QBs and receiving corp was soo bad, with the exception of Joe in 1993

Is there any possibility of you putting the end segment from this video on youtube? Its a 4 or 5 minute portion about Joe coming to KC the next year and it plays immediately following the credits of the video.
