I agree with Yannis. To the extent that one can say fairly 'the best' when there are so many great performances of this masterpiece, for me this is absolutely among the very most compelling, musically intelligent and also most deeply personal. So grateful to have a video document of this live performance.

Magnífico, impresionante! Nicolas Economou fue un gran pianista nacido en Chipre en 1953. Estaba llamado a ser en uno de los que deberían ocupar los puestos más altos de su tiempo. Desgraciadamente murió en un accidente de automóvil, en su país en 1993 mientras conducía en una noche de espesa niebla. Una lástima.
