Hello, this is John from Zoom and in this video we are going to be introducing the G1Xon multi-effects pedal. The G1Xon offers 100 guitar effects, including a variety of distortion, compression, modulation, delay, reverb, and amp models allowing musicians to quickly access the specific sounds they’re looking for in a dedicated pedal.
When you power on your G1Xon, you'll be brought to the home screen where you can navigate to a preloaded patch or manipulate a current patch using the patch scroll buttons. You can change a certain effect within a patch by highlighting the desired effect with the scroll knob, and selecting it with the enter button. Use the up and down effect buttons to scroll through the effects. Once the desired effect is chosen, press the home button to return to the main screen, or the enter button to adjust the specific parameters on the given effect to model the sound to your taste. With the G1Xon, you can use up to 5 effects simultaneously which gives you the exact sound you are looking for.
To add an effect, scroll to the “Add Effect” option from the home screen using either the scroll wheel, or the left and right scroll buttons. If you already have five effects, this option will not be available. Press enter, then choose the desired category. Select where in the chain you would like to add the effect. Lastly, either press the home button to return to the main screen, or press enter to access the parameters screen.
You can choose “Effect Chain” on the home screen to change the order of effects in your patch. Choose “Patch Settings” to adjust overall parameters and settings of the patch.
Press the Rhythm/Looper button to access the Rhythm or looper sections. Under the rhythm section, you will be able to adjust any of the 68 drum patterns, BPM, and the level.
The looper section allows you to loop yourself and jam on your own riffs. You will be able to use the foot pedals to start and stop the loops, or base the loop points on a certain BPM.
You can scroll through patches with the foot pedals, and quickly access the tuner by pushing both pedals down at the same time. This will also bypass the patches and effects resulting in a direct signal from your guitar.
The G1Xon features a standard ¼” input, and output, as well as an ⅛” auxillary input to play along with your favorite songs and backing tracks. It can be powered using either 4 AA batteries, or the AD-16 power adapter.

I feel "Zoom G1Xon" is great for those who doesn't have lots a money to buy many different effect pedals (e.g. a student like me) . But after watching many reviews and demonstrations, I've been hesitant for days to order it as it looks quite complicated to get it running smoothly for a beginner.

Hi there! I recently got my zoom G1Xon. It is great for the price, with nice sound and features But i would like to make 2 questions. When the volume pedal is about in the middle position and i am changing the patch, the volume of the patch it's in 100% high range. I have to change again the pedal position in order to lower the volume. It is like it doesn't recognise the pedal position when i am changing the patches and it is a little bit annoying. Is there any way to change that in the settings? And the second question is, if there is any chance to release any software update with an "undo" fuction in the looper? Thank you, and sorry for my bad english!!

Hi, Help me please in the followings: On my Boss ME50 the pedal normaly works as a volume pedal and if you push it hard then you can switch it to an other mode (for example wah) and you get swich to normal mode again if you want. There is a switcher on Zoom G1Xon as well under the pedal but I don't understand what its point because the pedal can't work in two modes (change between them with the switcher in one patch). If I set a wah fx in the fx chain then the pedal not works as a volume pedal (and it has no any effect) if you switch the wah fx off by the switcher. If I set in the PatchSettings the pedal as a volume controller then it overwrites the wah fx setting (what is in the fx chain). I have not found any video here on YT against my experience with the Zoom G1Xon and there is no solution for this situation in the manual too. Any solution? I hope this time I am the not clever guy and there is a solution somewhere in the Zoom. My Zoom has the firmware version 1.21 It would be great to use/carry a much lighter and smaller pedalfx. If there is no solution for my problem then this fx is unsuitable for a live gig on a stage. If you play MUSIC not just "full power metal" then the volume control is important besides an other controlled fx in one patch. Thx for Your answer.

It would not be possible to have the expression pedal work in this manner. The switch under the toe will always be on/off for the selected pedal parameter.

Is the output stereo or mono? I want to record the output to an audio interface but the line level input will be balanced mono, is it compatible and what cable TS or TRS?
