I do not regret buying this. I sold most of my individual effect pedals & bought this. It fits my needs perfectly. Probably has more in it than I would ever use, but it’s there just in case.

This being my first ever multi effects processor, I was confused initially. The vocabulary was unfamiliar to me. Spent a few moments just pushing buttons to see what happens. As others have stated, it's really pretty easy. The presets are the gateway to arranging your own pedal chain. If you already have effects experience, this will be a snap. If not, punch some buttons, turn some knobs, see/hear what they do. I overcome the di issue by putting this in an effects loop on a fly rig. Then send that signal to both my amp, (used as monitor), and the pa. Works great. Most of the b3n effects are pretty close to the effects they emulate. A full pedal board, is a wonderful thing, but, can be a pain to set up, dial in, tear down, pack, unpack, etc. High cost as well. Lots of connections to consider, the more connections the more potential problems. This is by far the most convenient tool to overcome those issues. This b3n is capable of some great bass processing. Personally, I'm done buying pedals, this is my last pedal purchase. It is also a really fun tool to play around with when you plug in a regular electric guitar. For what you pay, for what you get, and for what can be done with this, you really can't go wrong. I reccomend it!

Finished working with this last night and I have to say, ZOOM... GREAT JOB!!! I use the Yamaha AG Stomp for acoustic, fantastic pedal... the Boss ME-70 for my electric, again fantastic. However, I upgraded to this for my bass and BY FAR, this is the most intuitive and easy to use multi-effects pedal I have ever owned! Honestly, most multi-effects have a steep learning curve to figure them out, this is so simple and not just simple but done right! It was like for the first time in history a multi-effects pedal was designed by a guitar player who actually used one! Oh, yes the sounds are fantastic... but my praise for this post is simply on its design and how the system is laid out. It also has the best tuner I have ever owned on a unit like this, most of the time the tuner seems to be an 'add-on' that doesn't really work well. This one works great... GREAT JOB ZOOM! Also, for all the people complaining about the lack of an internal D.I. I would not have bought this unit if you had included it because, as I'm sure, it would have raised the price another $100. Most of us already own multiple D.I. boxes, so Zoom, just ignore them, they are dying on the wrong battle field. GREAT JOB!

Just fired it up. This helps a lot. Thanks. I highly recommend the Guitar Lab software. Much, much easier than from the unit itself.

I would pay banks for the RingMod from the guitar multistomp pedal in B3N. It works perfectly on bass and seems to be the only thing missing from this GREAT GREAT multi-effect pedal. Zoom PLEASE see this comment, grant me my wish, and give an effect pool update!!

Good stuff. I just got one, but nothing I change gets saved. I want to create a few patches: -- Heavy distortion (BassFz) with EQ and compressor. --- Clean with chorus and compressor. --- A nice reverb. --- A lighter distortion with a little reverb and chorus. In short, show how to combine sounds and save them in a single patch. Thanks

Started working with it last night. By default the unit should be set to 'auto-save' if it's not go to the menu, then settings, then turn 'auto-save' on. Personally, I turned it off. I like to play around with it, but not save anything unless I make a conscious choice to do so.

The be all end all learn it till you die multi Fex board, the last you'll ever need to learn. To me its all about the learning curve, this is great only if u invest a ton of time understanding it and the time necessary to operate it to its max. Good luck and lots of patience.

??? Just started working with this last night... this is the easiest and most intuitive multi-effects unit I have ever encountered in my life! If this is difficult for you I sincerely doubt your claim that you have actually worked with the pedal.

I blew up my preamp in a SR505 Ibanez less than a week after getting b3n all fine tuned to taste... Literally, the gain on amp was dialled back to accommodate all my effects + guitar amp emulation .. bass overdrive and some extra punch by delay set to 3ish.. volume on b3n processor itself not beyond 50%. My luthier needed to be brought in to diagnose why the bass was bass-less and output negligible suddenly.. both of us are mind boggled by the reader showing dead pre amp. Didn't even know that was possible. I'm kind of upset that the sentimental 505 is needing a costly repair (or slightly less with part from agulair vs a North American Ibanez auth retailer..) $300 b3n, $300 pre amp, I have the schematics now but throw in $150+ for service in other situations like mine .. sure hope your processor isn't blowing up loads of peoples basses ..

QUESTION: A friend of mine has one and it won't let him turn off all three pedals. One pedal always stays on no matter what. When he has only one of the three pedals engaged and then stomps it to turn it off so there are no pedals on, the light for that pedal stays on. Is there a way to "bypass" all three pedals without using an "Empty Bank?"
@ZoomSoundLab6 жыл бұрын
It would not be possible to bypass all effects without activating the tuner, turning them off individually, or loading an empty patch. Please have your friend email info@zoom-na.com to troubleshoot the issue
@timleehenderson6 жыл бұрын
Yes there is... you are in Memory mode, so at least one patch must be on. However, if you go into Stomp mode you can turn any or all of them off.

This processor could have been the supreme creation, not only of zoom, but of all that has been created for bass, the idea is good, but to my liking they had a big mistake in removing some of the effects I used from b1on or the b3, also the fact of not putting XLR out the idea is great but ended up being poorly executed because of the above, if they improved some modulations like the "Phaser" and Flanger would be perfect, so far Zoom B1on is still the perfect processor for me. I suggest a similar design and with the opportunity to choose the effects of Zoom including 70cdr and some older ones online or on the zoom page so they can please all their consumers. Millionaire idea Do not you think?

OMG you people.... No DI, so what? Most bass amps already do have DI outs, or you can buy DI dirty cheap. No audio interface? Well, I guess most of the musicians do have audio interfaces like Focusrite Scarlett etc anyway, don't need another one. You are getting 7 fx at once FFS instead of having only 3.
