@@caniraistlin Yeah I took exception to putting Rekkless on Karma those first two game as well, when you consider you're letting Perkz go the whole idea is while you may lose some of that clutch factor/shot calling/etc you're making up for it with a brutally skilled ADC. When you put said ADC on an enchantress you're removing the upside of that whole trade off. Also that last engage by Jankos with the q on humanoid that ended up giving a fed Ezreal/Oriana infernal soul was quite questionable.

I’m the biggest g2 fan of all time but MAD just played way better and way smarter. Gg, totally deserves this. I think g2 lost the first two draft so hard. And on top of that so many individuals mistakes from g2. Just give rekkles his carries..

I honestly believe G2 intentionally lost their drafts and were testing picks out in comps they don't belong in... Those were way too many weird decisions. For example I would only expect a botlane Karma pick in combination with a fasting Senna or some other "hidden" carry champ, not the double support lane they went for. Maybe they wanted to go for a 2-3 playstyle with Wunder suddenly only playing carry champions and try out how it rolls out with 2 supports. Either way, these comps didn't make sense and G2 and Grabbz showed way too much skill and knowledge for it not being intentional.

From the top of my mind I can't find a decent comp in this meta where Trundle would fit, he is just too slow in his clearspeed and if not ahead not tanky enough... Maybe as a counter to Sion or Urgot, or maybe (emphasis on the maybe here) Volibear with the ult? I honestly don't know if that would make sense, but that's all I can think of right now.

last game was pretty winnable for g2 but they hesitated in two key plays. First was when Oriana solo engaged on caps near their blue buff. he was far away from his teammates while rekkles was in midlane with ult up and wunder on bot. they could have killed humanoid. second was the engage by jankos when udyr was at baron. he could have went deeper and kill humanoid with his ult

I'm a long time G2 fan and you can't just blame it on trolling. G2 knew what they were doing in game 1, 2, and 4 and they lost. MAD definitely deserved the win, not because G2 was trolling but because they we're the better team on the day and you can even see it in individual mechanics. Knowing G2 and their player's, let's hope that this loss will kick their fighting spirit in the butts and truly activate them. G2 will still win the LEC, I have no doubt about it.

Hm, I'm not sure. Against orianna it's really hard to generate any pressure, you're in a losing lane and then you're also suddenly heavily outranged. He'd fit with the theme of the rest of the champs, but they'd have 2 melees and kaisa that can only go in in in. I feel like it would become a little bit too easy to draft against it especially since Mad already showed great prep. Against fnc, sure they'd just bite. But mad seemed too well prepared

Im (obviously) speculating here, but I think its pretty likely you're thinking about it incorrectly. Think about it... G2 against S04 (ignore game 3 for the moment, THAT was just disrespect and memeing out of order)... Wunder on ... sion... sion... sion... sion... Lack of prioritization bans. Caps back on azir and corki duty. People say the series was "close" but they are absolutely out of their minds. G2 griefed and got their hands caught in the cookie jar; but they demonstrated in games 1 and 2 they can completely dismantle S04. Then look at today... Karma ADC? Really? After it loses ... they run it AGAIN? Oh my. What changed? Oh look, Wunder isnt playing sion.... Game 1 he played Sylas, a high damage AP carry. Game 2 he played gragas, a high engage AP damage tank. Game 3 he plays akali, a high damage AP carry. Game 4 he plays Jayce, a high damage AD carry. They also bring out random things like Trundle out of the complete blue. Miky bringing in nautilus. Combine that with in game 1 Armut dismantled them with Gnar. In game 2, Armut dismantled them with Gnar. In game 3, Armut Dismantled them with Gnar (despite losing the game). In game 4, Armut dismantled them with Gnar... I think its rather intriguing they just let them have that champion over and over, dont you? The icing on the cake here; is Grabbz did an interview with Ashley Kang (its here on youtube) a short while ago, and he was very open about his frustrations of timing of if they potentially win LEC; they fundamentally get NO time to play and practice before MSI. He basically implied they'd leave the studio and go straight to the airport. This has serious implications. They wouldnt be able to test comps or champions; wouldnt be able to spend more time developing their meta, and fundamentally -> less games played is less games played. When I take a moment to think... what better way to get this testing and gameplay done then by using your fundamentally zero consequence Bo5 games to test and figure things out? Im a G2 fan. I want to see them win. Seeing them lose like this is frustrating honestly. But I can also take a moment and think and realize... this isnt making sense as it directly appears. Karma twice? Sion 4 times? Seriously? Akali is WELL regarded to be garbage right now, and they pull that out? They let armut have gnar 4 times in a row? The only way this makes sense is they are testing comps against a respectable team in a scenario that if they lose, they only get more play time out of it. It literally has no negatives to lose today; besides your apparent "strength showing" being perceived less. And isnt that a good thing in a playoffs scenario? :) If they continue showing this apparent "poor" performance and wind up losing playoffs, I'll gladly eat the egg on my face at that point, but for now, Im more calling "bullshit" than anything.

That was them "not taking it seriously"; to a point "unsportsmanlike" should be considered there... but these "throws" these weird as fuck drafts, the lack of priority bans; this may sound strange, but it honestly feels "on purpose". I dont like seeing G2 lose honestly, but the reality is... G2 ... they dont lose ANYTHING with this loss today. Oh no, they gotta go against a team theyve already beaten already.... Im not convinced this was "memery", them "not being capable", nor them "fucking around" (most of the time lol). This really feels intentional and they are very likely testing new ideas out in a format that has very little risk to their standings. We will know either way soon enough.

@@Comprandre I'd rather say they made good money off polishing their team up. Perkz and Caps are both absolute powerhouses and star players, you can't have 2 of them on the same team forever. They made it work a long time, but to the end they got more and more pure aggressive with no proper cohesion in a lot of plays. Since Rekkless is here that changed when they play in serious mode and not testing/plain inting.

No, I'm "Butthurt" The game has zero outplay potencial, every game is a snowball where you NEED to have several layers of hard CC because otherwise everyone can run away from everything; Where "Sidelanes" need to have teleport up to even do anything or have Global spells and the champion pool is so small that people are banning like 8+ ADCs because it's the only role with even SLIGHT changes in playstyle.

I honestly think its more likely G2 is testing comps and champions in a controlled scenario that fundamentally has no negatives if they lose. They get to test out champions against a reasonable team and format; while also getting to simply play more games. Grabbz had an interview a week or so ago where he was very open with his frustrations with LEC playoffs end time and MSI start time. If they win LEC, they get basically zero time to prepare for MSI. Losing to MAD today has absolutely no impact on them. They go to the losers bracket, play teams theyve already beaten, and go back up against MAD. They get more play time, more time for testing, and potentially more preparation for MSI in a controlled manner. Think about it, Karma.... twice? Sion 4 times in a row? Where the hell did trundle and akali come from? Letting darius into draft 3 times in a row? Letting Armut have gnar 4 times in a row?? This fundamentally doesnt make sense on the surface. Its easy to get mad at them for their apparent lack of show, but I genuinely believe this is completely intentional and ultimately a functional way to get their theories from paper onto the rift in a controlled manner. (Game 3 against S04 was trash, I'll give you that). Grabbz is one of, if not the best coach in the world dude. He's really really good to those boys; he takes care of them beyond guiding them on summoners rift. I think him and Mac are just the best coaches the LEC has ever had the fortune of receiving.

All be it, there was a huge amount of inting in this series, I do believe that the fact G2 get creative in times like this is actually really awesome and not many teams in the world have the confidence or trust in each other to do so. Losing this series is only a hit to pride, but that really means nothing.
