Got an 07 G35X sedan. About 3 yrs I've had to replace battery, alternator, radiator, y pipe, brakes, rotors, caliper, hub bearing, spark plugs, ignition coils. Rn I either have fuel pump issue or throttle body. Smh. Beautiful car it runs nice man. I got it for 6400 with 109k....idk the previous owners prolly never did no maintenance. The jobs aren't bad I've only brought to the shop for the radiator the y pipe just because I don't have a garage and it's winter. Great car as long as you maintence when you need to. I'd recommend even tho I had to do all these things. Couple hiccups but they ain't so bad in labor and in parts of you can do it your self. 7/10 car for me.

@@shithegoat9676 Its the most premium film out here, ceramic keeps your car cool, doesn’t heat up like crazy. It also protects your eyes, skin and leather of your car. It keeps the interior from fading away or cracking, The only negative effect is that in winter its cold as fuck. Plus you don’t feel the heat of the sun when driving, i offer ceramic and dyed. Regular film only protects you from UV rays but doesn’t give you full coverage. Its quite expensive, in my shop my prices are $299-$699 per car. But some shops go as low as $229. But again every car is different. But let me help you out, if you have a 2 door hatch or coup you are looking about $229-$350 in a well known shop. 4 door sedan or hatch, or truck you are looking about $270 - $450 for a crossover, suv, cargo van, you are looking about $400 - $750, its expensive but worth it.

Bought my 2012 with 54K miles 5-1/2 years ago just turned 90K on odometer. Only problem Ive had was a small coolant hose leak caused by a cracked coupler which is apparently common. Changed all the hoses at 80K and still no issues since. I have intake, motordyne ART pipes, and a custom exhaust and have had zero issues.

My 08 G35 4 door has 270k on it. 5 speed regular AT. No engine or transmission issues ever. I live in the South and have the dreaded melting dash issue. this is the ONLY issue (albeit a huge one) Paint job still as good as any on the road. I dont drift or race or add high performance engine add ons pound for pound this is the best car I have owned in 50 years. Considering the performance and the reliability that is why I say this. The melting dash is a real pisser though.

I have both an 08 G35x and a 13 G37x. Got the 08 new and 13 as a CPO. Known issue with the 08 are the warped rotors causing the brake judder issues. Once replaced when I couldn't take it anymore, no more juddering. Only thing I had to replace other than the original rotors was the alternator at around 88K. (Failed on the highway.) Gas mileage is not great on either car, but I can get the EPA of 23 and 25 hway, respectively. It is a high output engine after all. Best I got on my 08 was about 24.7mpg pure highway driving from NJ to NH. Not sure what can be done with the wife's G37x. The 08 (5AT) is quicker from a standing start than the 13 (7AT). 09-13 + Q40 have the bigger exhaust pipes which results in a better exhaust note. Car is great in snow (I do use winter tires) and I have Pilot Sport A/S on the 08 and BFG Comp2s on the 13, for other 3 seasons. I hear the Q50s don't have the same steering feel as the older Gs. The 07-08 has the heavier steering feel which I like. 09-13 & Q40 has more power assist.

Got an ‘07 G35S that just hit 100,000. Just put Pennzoil high mileage Ultra Platinum full synthetic oil in... paying for a coolant flush tomorrow with an ac compressor diagnosis (it whines and robs power when on), and getting a power steering flush, too, cuz it needs it... also getting the trans fluid drained and filled and looked at cuz it sort of slips and catches, but it’s not too bad. Getting a price on a motor mount replacement too, and there may be an exhaust leak somewhere. Gonna have a buddy replace my serpentine belt for the cheap, too. Lmao I love this car so much. Got the car used 6000 miles ago (96000mi), and it makes me smile every day. Getting close to having it mint and ready for tasteful mods. It already sounds soooo good.

Dash cracking is common, I wouldn’t worry about the cosmetics too much, just stay on top of the of the maintenance and the car will be fine. You may want to put in new camshaft + crankshaft position sensors, those fail at some point. Check for leaking rack N pinion. If no blinking airbag light, that’s good. It’s a good car.

Ha i have an 08 G35 Journey with sport package with 268K on it. No oil use. Still gets 25 MPG @ 70 on highway. No engine work ever. Just maintenance items. Single worst part of this vehicle is melting dash. Other than that no complaints.

My 2009 G37 sedan is sitting at 170k miles and i still love it. It's a great daily driver and easy to maintain in good conditions. Interior leather is not so great especially in this Texas heat, summer was over 110°F, so the elements will definitely beat the material down. I've replaced the driver window with an $80 window from the salvage. Maintenance wise, synthetic oil + filter for this car costs $40 and i change it every 7-10k miles. I definitely recommend my 10 year old car!

I got a 2008 sedan awd. My dash don’t seem as bad but mine is definitely sticky & starting to mess up... my driveside carpet is the same. MY 6 & 7 rpms does the same. Never had 1-5 mess up 😬😬😬 Hopefully I didn’t jinx myself. I live in Nashville Tn... drove it to Pcb two years ago blasting the ac & my Compressor went out 5 hours in (it was a 9 hour drive.) Pretty spot on review , I’ve got the same car. At about 166k miles now . Still runs strong . Have had a few problems like crank pulley going out along with the seal. Power steering pump, alternator, but I’ve put 50k miles on it . I’ve got the same dash problems and lights out on the dash lol.

I bought mine used at 44k and have done a lot of preventative maintenance like trans fluid change, new battery spark plugs, etc. I hope I can make it far like with yours, without having to encounter low oil pressure or replace stock gaskets. no its pretty strong and smooth i personally dont like it much due to it being a 5 speed you can get up pretty high in rpms on the highway and it effects the gas mileage a bit

I would say get the 37 the awd models are fun but get less gas mileage and the 37 has more horsepower

Well, if you live in an area that gets a fair amount of snow in the winter, the AWD version will have an advantage over the RWD version.

As the original owner of a 2007 g35x, no I would not. These cars have good transmissions and G37 has a bulletproof engine (VQ35HR tends to have galley gasket problems) - but you will spend a LOT of money replacing suspension components and exhaust components (esp. if your car was a northern car exposed to winter road salt). I love my car but am spending 2K+ a year now with parts / labor in replacing parts. Problems do pop up more consistently now that the car is past 145K

Been trying thread after thread about a click noise usually when moving from a stop or when the gears change but noise seems to be from the rear wheels? No not for 14k I got mine for 8k with 122k miles on it, unless it’s the sport model with the rare manual transmission I wouldn’t pay over 10k

As long as it runs good yes they are great cars, I would recommend a full tune up and all fluids flushed but after that it should run great

Your car is 12 years old bro. You miles are average. It's just an old car. These cars are usually abused or are expensive with not much in between. My 2004 Lexus I just sold had 350k miles, a bad transmission, a leaky head gasket, a wrecked front end, and I got 5500 dollars for it. My older broken Lexus suv that was arguably totaled and had more than double the miles sold for more than a newer 130k miles 2008 G35 that is in my city now for 4500. That should tell you something. Not the worst cars though just for fanboys with low cash I guess. I always see these cars ragged out with plasti dipped badges, fart cans, riduculous wheels....THe people that own these cars have given them an image that isnt worth the driving experience received. Lol

@@ftnppg1272 - It's an infiniti, bud. My 2007 G35x is fully stock and at 150K runs just like the day I bought it, with mostly basic maintenance. My other car is a 2018 Q7 3.0 - and I am not selling my G anytime soon.

2007 g35 base for 4600. Has 180000 miles. Outside looks great. Interior a little worn on seats and sterring wheel. Should i get it?

That sounds like a pretty solid deal, check the oil and make sure you do a cold start so you can listen for timing chain rattle when you start it but other than that go for it!

People who keep asking is a g35 good on gas. Any luxury car is not intended to save you money because that wouldn't be considered a luxury car. Luxury cost lots of money...this car can go 160mph stock. It has tuned exhaust...dual exhaust, does 0-60 quicker than a car like a corolla. The corolla is economical. No one buy s a 35 because they need to save on gas. No its not good on gas. I would compare it to an suv... A corolla has a smaller gas tank than the g35 but the gas last longer even with a smaller gas tank. Gets 40mpg...the g35 averages about 20mpg at best. below 20 miles per gallon in the city. A prius averages 42mpg in the city. A prius will runs circles around the g35 in the economical department. Sports cars are not economical cars...they are for entertainment. A g35 is not trying to be nothing but a fast car not even a hybrid car.

Just sold my 2008 g35, had 132k. Was one of the shortest cars I ever had, dumped 4k into repairs and it still had problems. Not to mention the repairs costs are through the roof, wouldn’t recommend this car to my worst enemy

This dude I s reviewing a 140k G35 with baby miles lol. Give me a break that’s nothing to my miles. I have 323k and still beats many newer vehicles. It seems like it gets faster with miles. Infiniti builds best VQ motors in the world along with reliability
