That is a “bridge plate”. They are used to designate a vehicles weight for passing weight restricted lengths of road or bridges.

@@TeamG503 the hood is so different for a start point. Is there a relevance from say..center of head light bulbs to the ground on your 43? So then I could measure center elevation in my willys and then come up the wall same distance. There has to be some importance there..
