Hello, I have a question. I have the same capacitor that is shorted, but it seems like the other adjacent capacitors are shorted as well. Would one cap being shorted cause others to be as well?

what the other capacitor? you may mix the coils with capacitors they looks the same. the coil always will tested as shorted wire. do you have a picture?

I have an S8 GM950FD I went to 2 stores already and they say the problem is the charging board Even wireless charging it wont work But battery is alive because I tested it on s7 edge and s6 edge so If I replace the charginf board will it work again? Or is there a motherboard problem?

Hi my name is ashley and i do board level repairs for the shop i work for. I was hoping you have run into a similar charging issue that im having with another customers s8+ and that is that it showed no life before i opened the phone. Once opened i checked the battery it was at 2.6v under what is considered fine tried a new battery that i had pre charged to 4.1v the phone turnes on like it was fine.... now heres the kicker if you plug the phone into a charger it dies instantly a d wo t turn back on till you remove the charging cable. Could you possibly give me an idea on where to start looking to fix this issue youd be an epic lifesaver of you could. Thanks!

Did you try a recovery apps. Or you can use the computer with any data recovery program and scan it as SD memory.

Reball the PMIC. Check for any shorted on caps Check for any ic getting hot
