I am 75:years old Keralite settled in Mumbai. During 1965-67, I was at my uncle's Jalaja Bakery in.Kalpetta, when myself n the manager used to visit Kozhikode once in a month to buy raw materials like maida, sugar, vanaspati etc etc from valiya angaadi. After booking those goods with transport agent, our straight visit was to Paragon to have biriyani. In two years time, I might have enjoyed their biriyani 24 times. If I happen to visit Calicut again, I will definitely visit Paragon n would have a brief talk with the present owner regarding my experience of more than 5 decades ago. Ravindran

Hello Baiju, it's great you done an amazing vlog about Sumesh. Many of the Keralites were looking for this amazing personality. I was stuck in Dubai for two months during one phase of Covid and was not able to commute Abu Dhabi everyday. So, I have a meal one time and that from Paragon Karama for these two months, I used to see this 'Noble Business Man' ( would like to describe Sumesh that way) sitting in the restaurant watching the customers curiously and wondering about Covid, and I used to have chit chat with him many days. I was a friend of his cousins and met him a couple of times maybe more than 35 years back. I was in a very difficult financial situation and went to his hotel and got his phone number and gave him a call asking him for help. In about 2 days he called me back and gave me some money which was of a great help. I don't even know if he really remembers me but he helped at that very difficult period. God is always with people like Sumesh...wishing him all the best .

Paragon was one of my favourite restaurants in Calicut when I settled here in 2011. But I curtailed my visits since I felt the oil (possibly dalda) used in the biriyani was excessive. I had to use lot of soap to wash away the sticky oil from my hands after having biriyani. But recently I tasted the food at the new Salkara near MIMS and it was so good.
