Hey Nige, great review and I have a few of these gaahleris. One point, gaahleri doesnt recommend putting a .3 nozzle in the .2 moebius (although they will fit) and vice versa, something about a slight engineering difference between the two. I had actually tried it with my .2 by changing it out with a .3 and it sputtered and spurted, and honestly never sprayed the same since. Not sure what they did internally but I wouldn’t do it.

Great review Nigel.i have already purchased the 0.3 Mobius and the Swallowtail Barbatos Rex. I’ve been considering the 0.2 for a while and with pay in 3 and my reward discounts, I got it for £51 and free delivery. Any buyers remember to answer the profile questions and you get points which give you extra savings, well worth while.

Good choice!

Another interesting review, Nigel! It would be really intriguing for your audience if you could use this airbrush instead of your Iwata, to see how well the Gaahleri holds up after six months of intensive use.

I intend to build something using only the Gallheri airbrushes.

Thanks for this Nigel I have just bought one and am looking forward to trying it out. I was pleased with the Bartsharp 186 you tested some time ago and I think this will be a good companion for it.

These are nice airbrushes at an affordable price range, have both of these 0.2 and 0.3 primarily for metalics and clear coats… you mentioned their spray booth with the water curtain, just bought the Bart sharp one myself lol Happy noodling 👍

Good review, it does look like a great brush, but I've got too many already 😙To clean my nozzles and the paint channel in the body of the brush, I use a a small rolled up pieced of kitchen towel soaked in thinner. The mark up on Iwata o-rings is crazy.

"Noddle" just brought back a memory. The menu of a Chinese Restaurant in West Perth said "Noddles" instead of "Noodles". Just like the "Caned" instead "Canned" food in a supermarket in Oman. Were the beets beat? In all seriousness, thanks for the review, and reinforcing of airbrush hints and tips. You have me sorely tempted on the airbrush...

@@NigelsModellingBench It was just in response for the mix-up between "noodling" and "noddling" in the video!

Nice airbrush Nigel. My H&S Evo has that thing on the end of the trigger post. It is a right pain in the butt to get it back into the hole lol.

Hi Nigel. What is your opinion about the nozzle size? Which you would recommend, 0.2 or 0.5 mm?
@NigelsModellingBench6 күн бұрын
0.2 for fine work or every day.. bigger for clear coats and 2K

Just ordered one using NMB code for @£72 including tax. I don't really need it as I have various fancy Iwatta and Harder & Steinbeck models. I just love airbrushes.

That sounds a lot? Dioes that include shipping?

@@NigelsModellingBench the hidden tax bumped it up, as did the postage. This is the total cost with your discount. This is the trouble buying from the USA, they don't declare the tax until you go to pay.

Why is the iwata better then? Any specifics?
@NigelsModellingBench6 күн бұрын
It's hard to answer.. kind of like driving a Rolls Royce vs a Mondeo. Both great comfy cars, but the RR just does it smoother and costs a lot more? i personally believe the Gaahleri, once "run in" will feel as good?

Thank you, for your videos and testing. I was just trying to look at it from a technological/ecomomic perspective. Iwata has been around for years and takes a while to bring out the the next 'improved model'. Then there is not much inovation from the previous, inside it just looks like the same old. This, backed by the Japanese economy and labour costs. The Gaahleri is kind of new on the ab market, and the innovation and improvements are much quicker iterations, with a Chinese economy, more engineers with new ideas and lower labour costs. The price would always be lower. Two different economies. A lot of modellers look at just the price. I never thought Volkswagen would shut down in Germany. Where would Gaahleri be in 5 years from now compared to Iwata, H&S, Badger etc. Hopefully it will all bring airbrushing to more people

I love my Gaalheri Swallowtail, its as good as my 10 year old iwata TR1 but its economics are better
