Hi Nigel. The hand pump for the water would be to siphon water out of the reservoir. You’d have the water end in the tub at the back of the booth and the other end beneath it and into a bucket or something else to catch the old water in. Then when you squeeze the hand pump it will start to pump out and then gravity will do the rest and start the siphon.

Would love one, but I have nowhere to put it, and I just saw the comment below about shipping to Australia! Just opened my new Swallowtail Airbrush - what a lovely bit of kit, and I can't wait to use it. Just regarding Gaahleri in Australia, ordering from their website involves items being shipped from China which can take 10 to 15 days according to a prompt answer to an enquiry I made to Gaahleri. It is free shipping for orders over US$100. There is a limited range available locally through a certain major online retailer with same day delivery, but this doesn't help Nigel.

Hi Alex. Thanks buddy. I dont think I'm going this year now?

Great review, thank you. I was going to skip past this as I assumed it would need a tap connection for the water and would be expensive - but thanks to your video I now realise this isn't the case. A very fair price too (even before the discount!) I'd say.

Great review of a wonderful product. I tend to run the pump every couple of days when not in use, just to keep things circulating and I found the plastic curtain allows water fall more uniform over time (the noise is quite relaxing as well). You will probably keep fettling the feet for a bit to get balance but then it should be fine. Changing the water and cleaning the reservoir is cumbersome but only done every few months. Keep an eye on water level due to loss and natural evaporation etc. Enjoy.

I think they must all come from the same factory and just get rebranded, mine is identical. But RE the plastic screen, I used Rain X for plastic to make it super smooth and slippy and it works a treat

Very impressive. I really like your concertina window seal, brilliant. I'm only guessing but washing the plastic with a drop of fairy to clean off the parting agent might help with the surface tension. I think I may have mentioned it before but you can get distilled water from your fridge or freezer (frost free that is) by pulling the drain hose (down the back) out of the bowl on the compressor and into a suitable pot. I look forward to your full demo.

Hi Nigel. Great review, certainly looks a great piece of kit. Regarding the water curtain not covering the plastic completely. Would it be worth costing it n one of the hydrophobic products for car paintwork and windscreens. That should increase the water coverage very nicely.👍

I will try some surface tensioning products Mark..

Thank you for this review. Can lacquer paint clog the water pump?

The carbon filters catch the paint apparently?

Oh no... Have a look at some local suppliers Charlie. I think these are made in a factory and shipped out with different manufacturers names on them. perhaps search Amazon in Aus?

RODI water what we use for marine fish tanks could be used. Just search for Spotless Water, usually in Homebase car parks. Just get a water container and fill it up yourself for around 5p a litre. Alternatively, aquarium shops sell RODI water.
