Financial possibilities? All of the best young players in the world want to go there as a stepping stone. Dortmund is a sellers club… but finances aren’t a factor with them anymore. Young players are funneled there.

Back in the day, even English teams tried to win the UEFA cup (EL). It was Mourinho belittling the cup that caused a change in that mentality, then funny enough, that became the last meaningful trophy he won. Growing up I got to witness some great games in the uefa cup, R9 lifting it with Inter, Arsenal against Galatasaray in 00, that 9 goal final between Liverpool and Alaves..

I find it interesting people calling Pep the best manager in the world when Carlo is going to his whatever number CL final. I understand Pep has won a lot of trophies in his not so long career but they forget Pep is an expensive coach. In this same relatively short period, he has outspent many of the managers people think he’s better than. He buys to play his specific style of play to win. If your club is not rich he’s not your man. He has master one tactics or style and that’s it, whereas some of the others can defend, keep possession, play long passing games, etc. Anyways, I don’t think he’s the best, he’s a great coach but Carlo imo is better than him at the very minimum because he’s versatile, he’ll work with whatever you give him.
