As long as Pep Guardiola is at Manchester City with all due respect to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta, they’re always going to be seen as the favorites to win the Premier League at the start of every season and next season, there’s a possibility that these guys could win their 5th consecutive Premier League title in a row. I think this time around, many people want to see a different winner because despite the fact that fans and pundits continue to say that the premier league is the most competitive league in the world, one team has won 6 out of the last 7 titles and it’s true that there has been multiple occasions where these title races have been close and have gone right down to the wire and have been decided on the last game of the season, at the end of the day, it doesn’t change the fact that from a longevity perspective, they’re dominating the premier league and have actually turned this league into a “farmers league”. It’s true that the league is entertaining and there is competition, but you can’t consider a league to be competitive when every season after 38 games, the same team is lifting the trophy.

It isn't just the fans and pundits. UEFA's mathematical formula, based purely on results, has the premier league ranked well ahead of any other leagues in first place. City building financial reserves, presumably in case they get relegated. Arsenal net spend almost treble citys over last 6/7 years. Arsenal is a good team and I don't mind/like sides about Mikel, I think he's a great coach but he lacks that final ice in his vains that bit of stoicism that gets you over the line. Every time they get close they get too emotional the tears come and they blow it in surprising ways like the West Ham game a team that wasn't particularily good at the time, they simply don't know how to plan out a race like Pep and finish at a higher pace then what you started in, you don't win the league in January 🤦‍♂️. City holds the benchmark for everybody to beat, Pep brought LaLiga to PL and If you want to win you can (hardly) not drop points.

As we’ve seen with Liverpool on multiple occasions under Jurgen Klopp, as good as that team was, the only reason why he won 1 PL title in 9 years is because of Pep‘s City even though he won a premier league title during their dominance, we can talk about them bottling the league last season, but (2018-19: 97 points, 2021-22: 92 points), in any other season, they would win the premier league accumulating a high level of points. People can say that Arsenal bottled the league again last season, which isn’t true if you think it is, you’re delusional and are just a certified hater because what more could they have done to win the league, they had 89 points had the best defensive record in the Premier League, won 14 of their remaining league games from January to May, won 27 games and after the turn of the year, in terms of their winning record they were literally perfect and despite that, they still finished 2nd and didn’t win the league. I can make an argument that if they didn’t lose to Aston Villa, they would’ve had a better chance of winning the title since after that game they won their rest of their league games. As a whole as good as their team is, I still think that they lack the mentality that other premier league title winning teams had as they have a tendency to slip up in crucial moments it happened last season in that one game and it happened in the 2022-23 season when the bottled the title after being in first place for 32 weeks and in a close title race if you want to go all the way, there’s no room for error and in that regard they have to be more consistent. When you’re up against Pep’s Man City towards the most crucial period of a season, you have to be much better than them and it isn’t the case with this team as you have to be more than just good enough. People need to come to terms that Manchester City are just too good and they’re a winning machine, I mean when you have the one of the greatest managers of all time and some of the best players in the world and are stacked in every position, nobody is surprised when they win the league because every season they’re favorites to win every trophy in every competition. They’re expected to win the league every year no matter what happens. They have proven that they don’t need to be at their best to win premier league titles because they have the experience to approach a title race in a sense that at any time in a season they know how to hit their best form and once they do that, it’s inevitable that they’re going to win the league and even last season in a 3horse race for the title between them Liverpool and Arsenal, I knew that it was going to happen and it’ll probably happen again next season. Arsenal fans will have that confidence going into next season that they’re going to finally end Manchester City’s dominance in the Premier League and some people should be backing them to win the title since watching these guys win the league every season is getting old, but as long as Pep is at City, they’re going to win the next 3-4 league titles.
