I shadowed a speech pathologist working in a stroke comeback center where a the majority of the members have aphasia. They told me about this movie and how they were all going to see it together since it inspired them through their journey of recovery and brought light to the works of speech-language pathology.

I loved this movie so much. It made me smile, cry and was so inspiring. I am so sorry that something so tragic happened to her, but like a phoenix, she rose from the ashes to become something even stronger and and more beautiful than before. We just watched this, it was heartbreaking, inspiring ... and infuriating. One ill person with a gun and so many lives shattered. Gabby was so moving, I've always admired her but I have a much better understanding of her challenges and her courage. I think the only solution may be to boycott red states or states represented by Senators who refuse to ban assault weapons. Progress is being made on state levels but the national ban needs to be reinstated.

I don't know about faking......but I admit I found it a little suspicious that when she was signing along with the Tom Petty song she didn't miss a word.....but in talking to a interviewer she did. Maybe deep memories before the shooting are well preserved or something. (Or the paranoia of our culture is just getting to me :))
