I just read Hide and I was so excited for it because I loved the idea of an amusement park setting. But it was so hard to get through. It was so boring and then it was high stakes, but it didn’t feel like it? I just did not care at all. So thank you for sharing your thoughts!

I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one who was super disappointed with Hide! I keep seeing people loving it, and I just thought the characters were flat, the plot dragged and it was really boring for a thriller. I paid $14 for the kindle book and was really mad I wasted my money 😆

I had the audiobook of The Island and it really was well produced. Yes in First Born the sister is living in New York and her parents were over visiting her and sister was back in London. It is worth sticking with

However, I was PROPERLY creeped out about the obsessive emphasis on making women's entire lives about becoming mothers.

I haven’t read Hide but I did read The dark descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein from the same author. It was fine, however it did feel a bit juvenile for me and given the subject matter (emotionally abusive relationship) it could’ve been handled much better. Maybe she’s just better at writing YA? I don’t know but wouldn’t recommend TDDOEF.

Sorry Will Dean didn’t work out for you. I have not read twin trope books before so not as familiar. He has written a series of mysteries that feature a deaf journalist Tuva Moodyson set in Sweden. Been four so far Uncertain if they are as well known in USA but Scandinavian Noir is very popular in U.K. and even though he is a Brit he captures the essence of the sub genre
