I love that you review these thrillers because I love reading them and every time I go to the book store I get so overwhelmed in the thriller section because all of the covers and the summaries are so similar that I never end up buying any. Now I just look up the books you review and go buy them that way! ♥

I get such a sense of nostalgia watching your videos. I went to university in and around your local area and the comfort I find in your clips at familiar parks and streets that meant the world to me during my college years fills my heart in a way I didn’t know I needed! Just finish reading, “The Troop,” upon your recommendation and LOVED it. Keep representing the WA readers and providing a sense of familiarity in the book community✨

Loved your reaction to Foe. I haven't read it but I am putting it on my list right now. It is said there are only really two types of stories: A man goes on a journey or A stranger comes to town. All stories fall into one of these trops. This for sure sounds like the one I love best--The stranger comes to town with a little sci fi thrown in. (almost like the Humans only scarier).

I am fascinated by Ian Reid's writing. I enjoyed Foe a lot and kept wondering what was going to happen. I believe the best thing is to not force yourself to read. Give yourself a break if your mind is not focusing at the moment . It's better in the long run.

Ya that sucks that half of the book for was missing, I had a Similar situation happen once. I bought the book the hobbit years ago from indigo in Canada and when I got to the bus depot to catch my bus i opened the book to read it and realized that most of the pages in the copy of the hobbit I bought were blank so I had to go back to indigo and exchange it for a new copy that had writing on all the pages. I haven't had that happen since but now when I buy a book I always check the book to make sure no pages are missing and there is printing on all the pages

As you are listening bump the speed up a little at a time. Your brain will adapt and have no trouble understanding as long as you increase the speed gradually.

FOE: ugh. I forget how many pages it is. lets say 250. I feel like it was an amazing 75 page novella that got stretched out with an extra 175 pages of "the mans coming up the path. hes gonna annoy me. oh, look... hes annoying me... now hes gone. now were confused... and annoyed.... 3 months pass and nothing happens.... oh, the mans coming up the path... repeat forever and drag on for all eternity and be so annoyed because 'im thinking of ending things' was so fridges amazing, and then THIS mess! UGH! why did I not adore this nonstop repetitive monotony?! lol

The Ghost Tree was fine ... it was slow there for a bit .. but I finish it and was glad I found out whom or what was killing those girls . It has a trop I like in some horror, myth stories but I cannot say cause it would spoil the book for those whom want to read it. Least you tired the readca thons. Those things don't work out for me. Expically week/ weekend read a thons I do alright with month long ones. But I do try them I just to record or anything just incase it doesn't work out.
