400K subs, woohoo! I'm not going to make a video for this milestone, but thanks everyone for watching and supporting the channel. Lots more adventurous videos coming soon. Have a great summer and stay safe and healthy. NOTE: A lot of comments about the price of the meal at the end. The plate of food wasn't actually 130 kuna. The cevapcici was 80 kuna and I ordered the grilled vegetables as a side dish, which I thought was going to be extra. But they ended up including that with the main dish. So it was just 80 kuna for the whole plate of food, which is $12.50. And then I had a bottle of water and dessert, so everything together came to 130 kuna. Where they really ripped me off was the bottle of water, which was 30 kuna or $5. I hadn't checked the price beforehand, so that's something to watch out for. You can certainly find cheaper restaurants in Croatia. But if you're going to eat somewhere with a view of the sea in a touristy area, it's going to be tourist prices.

What a wonderful flashback ... I spent my summers here in the 80's, had a house in Sutivan. I watch a video on a hot day from the office, summer at the time of the corona, and at 10:49 I experience the heat and wonderfully fresh Adriatic Sea and the cooling in it. Brac is a beautiful island, full of history, beautiful girls, and my wonderful memories. Like the whole of Dalmatia. Great video, as if I was walking the streets of Bol myself ...

The year is 2020 and most of Croatians still dont understand how catering gastronomy works lol. There is a difference between eating food in restoran location, service, atmosphere wise and eating cevapcici in some dirty smelling street fast food with pidgeons landing on your lepinja. Its your chooise where do you want to go noone is forcing you so i dont understand the complains exept jealousy.

As someone who grew up in Split, after visiting all bigger islands in Dalmatia and entire coastline from Vinišće to Makarska, I can rest my case saying Zlatni Rat is my favorite beach I've ever been on. On most beaches there is always something missing - clean water, nicer rocks, more natural shade. I came to Bol and I wanted to stay there an entire week. It was literally perfect. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia. Next year there will be a direct ferry from Split to Bol, so use that opportunity!

I went to the Croatia islands near there for a few days like 30 years ago on a backpacking trip when I was in college. We went there before it was cool to go there, because our European friends mother told us to go there. It was right before the war. I knew nothing about the place, but I could tell the people were not happy, that there was tension. The inflation was so bad, they put the prices in marker at the store, and changed it more than a few times a day. The numbers were something crazy, tons of zeroes, like 1 billion something for a soda. It was cheaper back then, but still not THAT cheap. But actually, it still kind of looks the same to me now. Glad to see the place with independence and doing better.

I bought in Cosmopolitan London 1 kg of Grilled lamb, (jagnjetine sa raznja ) and payed 22 pounds. Do you see the difference? One thing is to be expensive and totally different thing to rip off someone taking him for an idiot. @Jeff Jacques Is that news article a new one? The guy from whom we normally rent our apartment in Podgora, just south of Makarska, tells me that starting in May, most of the people come from countries with very cold climates like the nordic ones... Germans and Italians have visited for ages, Austrians and Czechs also, but now there are waves of Poles as a result of an improved economy and a sizable population. I'm not surprised Italians go for the olive oil, truffles and pizza... we go from Mexico for Croatia's beaches, culture and specially its people, and we "contribute", very little but often to its economy... HAHAHA. Love Hrvastka... and Poland!

Few tips for renting a room on a Croatian coast from a croatian girl . You can get a really good room for 20 euro ,but it takes some effort. Most of people who rent don't want to pay tax so they are not listed on booking.com. There are usually old ladies on the bus stations or in the port or you can walk around and ask local peolpe for room rental. Because of corona situation I suggest walking around . There is also a site njuskalo, you can find rooms there too. That meal was pretty expensive, but sometimes there are no other options if you are on a small island. Bol is a turistic place so I'm sure they have more options,it depends ona a location of a restaurant. There is also a camp Kito on a little hill in the centre of Bol,they have good prices and the camp is great.

Man forget this commercial tourist places on Brac. Visit island Vis if you have time you will not regret, The island Vis was forrbbiden to visit for foreigners until 1991. After 1991 reamins many military sites abandoned around the island. Also abandoned submarine tunnels.. If you love alternative turism without stress and many people and good prices for sleep and eat it is a perfect place. Island vis have two main town: City Vis and fisherman town Komiza. They have best local sardinas tomato bread, fresh lobsters and moonshine sprit called "Travarica" (healty sweet alcohol drink with islands herbs) Nearby Komiža (15 min with taxi boat) is also island Biševo with cleanest sea in adriatic and famous sea natural blue cave. Also its Green Cave on Vis. Speadboats and ferry goes from Split.

Thank you for promoting my Country and Brač island. Please consider changing your headline for this video because it is very misleading and turnoff for potential guests. Such a beautiful place with wonderful people really doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with word "hell". Thank you for understanding and please continue with your great work!

For me the Adriatic coast in Croatia is tourist hell in the summer, probably not too bad this year though. I’d rather be in Zagreb at this time of the year. It was super nice and quiet here. It’s time for Croatia to slow down and spread the tourist season. The over tourism will eventually kill all resources and economy.

Bol is beautiful and where I spend my summer holidays oftenly. Everybody is raving about Zlatni Rat, but to experience its charms you need to spent more t I me in Bol in order to choose right times to go there ie. early in the mornings or out of tourist season. My fav part of Bol is Dominican Monastery and Ribars ka (Fishermen's Hut). Gorgeous view from Dominican to Zlatni Rat especially to watch the sunset.

Yea you can get 8 times more but you would have to walk to a place which is 8 times bigger looking garbage than this restoran and location somewhere in the middle of some stinking street with pidgeons landing on your sandwich. I dont understand its year 2020 and people still complaining about prices. Its not just about food. Its about service, location, atmosphere and place. If you dont like dont come in you have the menu with prices on the table. if someone likes it let him be dont be annoying. Gabriel traveled the whole world for 5 times am sure he knows better than you that he can find some dirty fast food and eat cevapcici for less money.

Most of the tourists this year are from Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Czechia, Poland, Hungary and now in August Italians as well - they're also traditional guests. Locals make up around 20% tho which is a higher percentage than usual. In a normal season, there's usually a lot more people from all over the place, particularly Brits, Scandinavians, Dutch, Swiss, French, Americans as well as the folks from other balkan countries, like Bosnians and Serbs. They had a really serious uptick in new infections however, just as the summer tourist season began, so traveling from other balkan countries is restricted unfortunately.

HAH! You toured Brac all wrong. Start in Supetar. There you can (or could) find a nice room cheap. The wife and I stayed at the Hotel Brittanida for $80/week. You can also rent a vehicle in Supetar to drive around the rest of the island, and finally, you can take the ferry to Split, which is a vibrant city in its own right. Also, walking through Bol is a nice way to get around. 2400 meters to Zlatni Rat? Just over a mile.

You went to see what the scene was by the sea. I think when you asked the young woman about the price of a water taxi and she asked for how many people and you said just one, she couldn't believe that a clean shaven, good-looking American guy like you would be alone. I just dig the vibe in the whole region of Europe you're in, from Austria to Ukraine and all countries in between. I'm glad you're back there. Enjoy. Btw, I'd say mostly on the Heaven side but those gravel beaches ... can't there be any sand there? Happy 400K. Legend.
