A couple other things. If you wanted to get the GoPro Hero 6 (or anything else on Amazon for that matter), feel free to use my affiliate link and I'll get a commission. It's listed below every video, or here it is: www.amazon.com/shop/gabrieltraveler And I forgot to mention regarding cameras that whichever camera I used to film a video will be listed in the description below that particular video. I've had different cameras over the years and and sometimes I use multiple cameras to film a video. So if you click "Show More" right below the video and then scroll down you will see the camera I used to film that video, plus the music that was used in the video as well as links to my various social media pages, my books on Amazon, etc. Also I forgot to address the question about music as far as why I don't use more local music in my videos. For example if the video is filmed in Romania, why not use some traditional Romanian music? The reason is because of copyright. KZbin has a system in place of automatically catching music used in videos that is copyrighted. So if you use a popular song, or any music that is copyrighted then youtube will detect the song in your video and will flag that video. It doesn't necessarily mean you will get a copyright strike or that the video will be taken down, but at the least the video will be demonetized, which means you won't be able to make any money from that video. You have to select music that doesn't have copyright restrictions. That's why the youtube audio library is a good resource for music, because all the songs are free to use, they aren't copyrighted and you can still monetize your video. The same with those other websites I mentioned (ccmixter.org has both music that's copyrighted and music that's free to use, so you have to figure that out on the site and either way you always have to give credit to the artists on those sites). With all of those music resources you will have to dig through them a lot to find good songs, but you will find some great stuff. KZbin recently added a bunch of new songs to the audio library, so it's worth checking out even if you've looked before. But finding music that's specific to a country or an area that isn't copyrighted is really tricky. I have to use the music that's available from the various websites I have access to. You can find some traditional music such as Indian music, Middle Eastern music, Latin music, etc. But when it comes to finding something very specific such as Romanian music or Scandinavian music, etc. then that's a lot harder to find. This is why, for example, I used Indian music in a lot of my Nepal videos. Because there were Indian songs that were available from some of those websites, but not Nepali songs. This annoyed the Nepalis who watched those videos, which I understand, but it was the closest I could get with the music other than using general pop music that wasn't from the area at all. Another good resource for music is Epidemic Sound, which a lot of youtubers use. I haven't checked it out yet but it's on my list to look into it. You have to pay for that website, whereas the other ones I mentioned are all free.

Gotta love the Gabe way of doing a Q&A, walking around showing us stuff while answering questions... unique! Im a youtuber and I never even knew about that search bar so cheers for that info. I really feel you have found the perfect cam for your style with the hero 6, the stabilization and image is so much more improved from the previous versions. The audio can still be a bit tough if there is a lot of wind, I have noticed that when using mine also... have you never thought of adding your own D.I.Y wind blocker?? I mage one for my cannon G7X and its amazing how much it improved the audio when its windy. One thing I asked in a previous vid was if you ever get the opportunities to have your travel covered, either by sponsorship, working with travel boards or staying in places for free e.t.c since you have a large following???
@GabrielTravelerVideos6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad to hear it. I actually have some of those micro muff wind blockers, but I don't think it would work well on the GoPro. There are three different microphones and they get covered up by the casing that goes around the camera. So the casing might not fit properly if you put micromuffs on there and/or they might be scrunched and it could dull the audio. As for sponsorships, etc., no I don't make use of that much. I've never done a sponsored video, partly because I don't want to and also I don't really need to since I'm getting enough views that I can travel from the youtube ad revenue. If I got a great offer for a sponsorship of a product that was super related to my channel, something I used and they were offering a good chunk of money then I would go for it, but an offer like that hasn't come through yet. As for travel boards I've never gotten any offers for that and don't know where to look, nor do I have the time to research it. As for getting free accommodation, that's something I've tried a bit with limited success. It's a lot of work to search out hotel email addresses, which I've done a few times but didn't hear anything back. I got a free room in Morocco once when I went up to the front desk and explained things and they gave me a couple nights stay to make a video there. But it takes time to send out those emails and wait to hear back from people, whereas I like to book my accommodation the day before I'm going somewhere, so there isn't really time to coordinate anyway. Maybe I'll tap into that more in the future.
@JumpingPlaces6 жыл бұрын
Cheers for the reply, yeah I had just been wondering if you had ever done that since I have watched hundreds of your videos and it never seemed like you had.. I wonder how people do it also, I follow a guy called LifeofJord (you probably have seen him) that seems to always do sponsorship's and work with hotels travel boards lately and he has about half of your following... I guess he must really focus on spending a lot of his time approaching these companies. Although, at the same time it seems a lot of his viewers dont like that all his videos are with companies now and just preferred when he was doing his own thing. I guess because the majority of the viewers can relate more to just normal travel experiences in general. e.t.c.. so there is also that aspect too, not wanting to go overboard with deals I guess

Bucharest has a big seismic problem. 200 years ago, following an earthquake of magnitude 8.2 degrees, all buildings with more than one level had collapsed or suffered serious damage. Then a series of earthquakes followed, which all left painful traces. The most important; magnitude-year: 8.2-1802 / 7.3-1829 / 7.5-1838 / 7.1-1849 / 7.1-1908 / 7.7-1940 / 7.4-1977 / 7.1-1986 / 7-1990. In Romania there is a law prohibiting public activities or rental for buildings classified in seismic risk class 1. So many old buildings are abandoned because the owners have no money to consolidate them or are not interested in doing so.

I have to mostly disagree with you 630247365. Aside from the fact that the internet made it really easy to talk to friends back home and that true friendship isn't about how often you see each other but the quality of the time spent when you see each other. While traveling you meet people from all walks of life, cultures, reasons for their travel and experiences. It's very easy to find and connect to people while traveling because of a shared mindset you have while traveling. Yes they're not the same as your friends back home but some people I traveled with for only a few weeks felt like a large bond was created. Especially when you share an adventure together. Of course you'll get lonely from time to time while traveling, just like how you can get lonely at home at times. In my experience though while I was on the road I was more often trying to find times to be by myself than I was lonely.

hey Johnny, I'm afraid I don't know which song you're referring to based on that, sorry! I have a lot of songs that could fit that description.

Beautiful Snow n City.😍❤... Is Gimbal a Camera ?

Hi Suru, a gimbal is a device you attach to your camera which makes it film smoother: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimbal I hope you're having a nice day, talk later. :)

I'm usually one of those weirdos pointing a big camera at people. That'd be another great topic you can discuss, which countries are people most sensitive to cameras and which are not. It appeared in this video, even though everyone had big coats on and there was little visibility due to the weather, that some people were freaked out by your gopro. With my style of filming I don't think Romania would be good for me :)

Cheap Charlie Chronicles not everyone is happy to end up in a video from a stranger that will just put it online :-) haha I remember a guy at work said he was sick but boss saw him on the news in a mountain resort
