Almost all the places you've been to lately have been spoiled by graffiti on all the buildings. This isn't art, it's destruction.

I know, it's really a shame. Especially on the older historical buildings. It should be considered destruction of property. They need to increase the penalties and get cleaning crews to clean the buildings off.

You like to draw how bout you buy a canvas or something. Not damage historic buildings. Scumbags. Spray paint your house or yer ass. Buy a legit lot. Artists in america can do it legally.
@Blablabla-tr2wo3 жыл бұрын
@jams5309 i agree with the other points here. Whatever you might say about the "urban life" this is property damage. Especially when done on historic buildings. Geneva had designated graffiti areas to avoid such problems. And that would be a good idea since it would create a single space for this and it could be turned into sort of a gallery. Some of the graffiti looks great. But if you draw it on a 250 year old building you should eat that spray tube
@tashaharris21383 жыл бұрын
As a black British based in the UK with many Romanian friends I totally agree with your point!!!! An educated and well balanced person would never graffiti in a public place and claim that it's art!!!! It's not art its criminal damage!!! An artist would do the grafatti on a canvas and or a sheet of paper!!!! This graffiti is no good to the Romanian people and no good to tourists like me who want to enjoy the beauty of the place!!!!

I agree with the negative comments about the graffiti. It is ugly. I haven't been to Bucharest, but I saw the same ugly graffiti in Athens. In my opinion it is ruining what could be beautiful cities and shows that the residents don't have pride in their cities. How can the police and the governments allow such a thing?

I'd hope that perhaps they'll take more pride in their country and city, in the future. @GabrielTravelerVideos6 жыл бұрын
I just walk around and find restaurants randomly. So if they're cheap great, if they're a little more expensive then it's not that expensive here anyway. In this case I walked out of my apartment, went right and had to walk quite a ways past pizza places and kebab places, etc. because I wanted to find a restaurant serving Romanian food. That was the first one I came to, after walking for quite a while, so I was glad to find it. Sure I could grab some pizza or whatever on the street for cheap but I want somewhere nice where I can take a seat for a while, get a beer or wine and work on my computer, that isn't a fast food restaurant.

This Winter visit doesn't show Bucharest in it's best light. I visted in May 2019 and it was a wonderful city. Sure, a bit rough around the edges but fascinating architecture and beautiful parks. There was a fantastic light show in the fountains of the main square. And if you like night life it's full on in your face with plenty of themed bars and dancing girls (and guys) to entertain you. If you visit try a day's trip going north to the lakes which is the Romanian holiday resort area. The Communist era palace where the revolution started is spectacular. Unfortunately the Romanian airforce museum and Ceaușescu's house were closed when I visited. And it's cheap for accommodation, food and beer.

Just a few linguistical games. Travelling might sharpen your perception in the understanding of terms. Romania, Italy, Spai, Portugal, France have a Latin Background. As English is a mixture of Latin and other influences (thought Celtic), you might recognize a lot of terms. School becomes école in French, escuela in Spanish. You might develop more linguistical senses than you are aware of. So good luck, keep following your vids. Also follow similar vids Jojo Aigner, nomadic fire and Alex Travelbum.

funny thing you might not know - in statuary depictions, if the horse has only one hoof off the ground, the person died of natural reasons/old age. If the horse is standing upright on two legs, the person died in battle. Thought I mentioned that, as he was looking at the statue of Carol :)

This is great. I love how you're filling in info with the subtitles. Here in LA, some people paint graffiti on waterfalls. Its REALLY bizarre. On another note, have you ever been to Lumbini, Nepal?
@GabrielTravelerVideos6 жыл бұрын
Jesse, yes I did go to Lumbini actually: kzbin.info/www/bejne/moS2pYOKo9utnNk Not really a must-see place, especially since it's a long ways out of the way from Kathamndu or Pokhara. However if you're crossing the border from Nepal to India or vice versa then it's on that route, so it's worth stopping there.

Gabriel Traveler We were there in 2014 too. I want to go back because so many of the temples were under construction. I'd love to see the finished product. It's kinda like Buddha Disneyland with all the temples from the different countries.

Carol "One", really ? Do you say Henry eight or Elisabeth two of Great Britain ?
