I love Arepas. There is a restaurant here in Seattle also called by that name, and the arepas they serve are terrific. I hear tell of them being the native food of Venezuela, too. www.seattlemag.com/article/food-we-love-pabellon-arepa-arepa-venezuelan-kitchen I always ask for my fried eggs served well cooked with the yolks cooked HAARD! I never do runny.

It was very nice of you to speak of Mr Armando Gonzales in the video. Apart from being very well informed about various aspects of his country he has a pleasant personality. I say this because when you spend many hours in the company of someone you just met, it matters.

yeah boy!!! Thats my kind of meal right there! $12USD is a bit high but it is a restaurant, not a hole in the wall eatery so good deal. That pork rind is the best part guy! you cut it up and mix it with the food and every bite has some of the pork with the rest of the food. MAN! I wish i was there right now! Panama!! LOL! I thought you said the lady looks real good right there too :P She does. When she told you in that sexy Spanish she would be right back, my heart leapt. Panama.. I am in love with Panama. Now THIS could be home number 2 for me. I watched this video with a smile and a tear in my eye. What a place. Gabriel, the music you selected for this video was ON POINT! Perfect for this video of this beautiful Spanish Paradise!

6:40 as a Panamanian it always amazes me how drastic the view changes in this area where El Chorrillo neighborhood collides with Old Town of Panama. The panorama from "poor, ugly, and dangerous" suddenly changes drastically to "colorful, beautiful, safe and wealthy". That's a great example of the inequality we have in Panama, but indeed it's quite an experience.

Hi Gabriel, This trip to Panama is quite interesting because it is a location many people are considering moving too as well as many locations in Central and South America it's becoming a hotbed for expats to escape the high cost of living in the U.S, as well as taxes.

I spent three weeks in Medellin last year, and chicharron (the pork you had with your meal), was very popular. I'm with you, it's not my favorite. I don't mind it in small amounts, but in Medellin the servings of it were huge. I find it very dense. Meat overkill, if you will. I really love Latin America. I could spend the rest of my life just traveling about in South and Central America and of course Mexico. Any idea of the significance of the license plates? I saw that the bar you entered had many as well as the street vendors selling them. Cheers amigo. I look forward to the next video and new destination. Take care.

I totally get it, quality is important or the content can get lost. It's been an ongoing issue finding the right camera. I bought a new Sony right before my trip to Vietnam on people's recommendations, and then it had problems that were worse than the Gopro, so I went back to using the Gopro. So I'm still looking for that camera that will be the right match for me.

But why didnt u show like the new city? The skyscrapers and the cinta costera? The new pan american highway is beautiful. Its where all the tall and modern buildings are next to the sea. I mean, yeah its really important to show the historical places and the old city, but the new city is the major place for tourism. Now people are going to believe that Panama City is like an old place with destroyed houses and those things, but The New Panama City, the pan american hwy its actually like a Miami or a Dubai but in central america. Its full of amazing buildings that i was waiting to see. But u didnt show them :’(

the area by the church, close to where you say your hotel is has some good and cheap food options nearby: Loving Hut in Panama is super cheap and just up the road that is going uphill past the church. And further down that main road you are walking on on a side street on the left hand side, somewhere near a casino is a cheap falafel place and also a great chinese buffet place which is super cheap and delicious called "el jardin vegetariano". The falafel place "Istanbul Döner Kebab" is only a few doors to the right. I also recommend checking out the old cemetery between Casco Viejo and Cerro Ancon but be advised that it's not the safest area to show your camera gear. Once you are inside the cemetery it is ok tho.
