Jamboree’s roster is nearly perfect. The reason why I said “nearly” is because they left out my man, Diddy Kong. Other than that it’s a rock solid 9/10 for me

Yeah I think with every number in the ranking there’s some wiggle room for interpretation, so a roster don’t have to be 100% perfect to be a 10/10, but like 97% perfect would be good enough to rank it a 10/10 for me. I completely get what you mean though, sad that Diddy Kong didn’t come back!

What I loved with the console games from Hudson, it's that they kept keeping the same roster, but improving it over time MP 1 and 2 : we got Mario, Luigi, Peach, Wario, DK and Yoshi MP 3 : Same but with Waluigi and Daisy as newcomers (it stay like this in MP4) MP 5 : DK leaving and being replaced by Toad, and they added Boo and Baby Bowser MP 6 : Same roster with Toadette as newcomer ! MP 7 : Baby Bowser leaving, and adding Birdo and Dry Bowser MP 8 : Still the same from MP 7 but adding Hammer Bro and Blooper !

Its because Pom Pom is the first female villain to take place in a mario party roster, her addition does matter. Her design is also more creative than Boom Boom, and im sure that if Boom Boom was playable instead of Pom Pom, he would be the most forgettable character there. We all remember Pom Pom when playing it because its so weird to have her there that its cool. For that, i keep it on 10/10.

Understandable! I think they split up Boom Boom and Pom Pom's playability across different games as in 2018 Boom Boom was playable in Mario Tennis Aces and Pom Pom got Super Mario Party. At least that's my theory, but I was fine with the inclusion nonetheless. Appreciate you watching!

18:06 I actually dont mind the superstars roster, it's basically all of the "good guy" characters from the previous mario party games (besides toad and toadette), so it wouldn't really make sense for any of the "enemy" characters like boo or hammer bro to show up. I would definitely add Diddy Kong and Pauline though, as even though they didnt appear in games 1-10, i think they would still fit. The only other character who I could see in superstars is Koopa Kid, who I know is both a retired character and one of bowsers minions, but I feel like he could be an exception. Maybe he felt left out of the previous mario parties and decides to join back?

Idk, I have a feeling Jamboree is gonna get DLC, I just hope it’s free and not unnecessarily paid for. The big thing that gives me DLC vibes is the fact the Diddy Kong is present in the game, but isn’t playable. I still haven’t played the normal party mode all that much, so idk if he’s on any board or something, but he was in the opening cutscene.

Impressive! I can get behind praising Koopa Kid; he is the Mario character that I like the most. That said, I do like how often Toad, Donkey Kong, Mario, and Toadette are present. I like how you included the extras in Mario Party 4; I am willing to bet dollars to donuts that most people haven't seen the six bonus picks in Beach Volley Folly. To be fair, it is rather difficult to unlock them all. I agree with you about Super Mario Party. The idea of a perfect balance of Mario's friends and Bowser's minions makes me happy. Moreover, Dry Bones and Hammer Bro -- my mains from 7 and 8 -- both returning here is fabulous. If I had to pick a favorite? That would be Mario Party: Star Rush. While the colored Toads and Mario Shuffle characters are limited, the main selection of 12 is practically flawless. I _love_ that Toadette and DK are in a portable installment, and Diddy Kong is a great newcomer. Star Rush in general is one of my favorite Mario Parties. Great video.

Idk whats funnier, the fact that Green Toads (probably) only playable appearance is in Star Rush, or that Red Vest Red Toad and Blue Vest Red Toad are considered different characters in the same game. Either way, the different colored toads are very underrated and I wish we could see a little more of them.

Ah, Mario Party. I mainly grew up with Mario Party DS then later Mario Party 9, with Island Tour, Star Rush, Super Mario Party, and Superstars comin' after I haven't played Jamboree yet, but I did notice that there's actually more heros than enemies, thirteen to nine The could've added more enemies to the roster to even it out and have twenty-six characters be playable. I would've loved to see Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, and especially Kamek to be playable again Now if we're talkin' characters who've never been in a Mario Party, then maybe Piranha Plant, as he was playable in Super Smash Bros. Ultamite and the Fire Piranha was playable in Mario Tennis Aces. Bob-omb maybe? I mean, they have Goomba already and he doesn't have arms Any of the Hammer Bro variaties, Fire, Ice, or Bommerrang, either one of those three and just make the animations different Swoop would be an.. interestin' addition to say the least Maybe Para-Koopa or Para-Bones, maybe even both since Dry Bones and Koopa have both been playable together in Mario Party And that's all I can really think of at the moment

What I didn't understand, in Mario Party Superstars, why didn't they just... Imported all the Super Mario Party characters (Minus Bowser and Bowser Jr.) and maybe add 2 from previous games like Blooper and a new one, because Mini Bowser was a character made by Hudson and when Hudson stopped making the Mario Party series, Mini Bowser disappeared from the franchise. Like they wouldn't need to add anything, like at all, just import the stuffs from the previous game (Even in the Boo map, the dancing portion for one event you could have imported the dance animation from the rythm minigames mode). So why just... Make the roster twice as small ? People didn't like that because you now put a standard since Super Mario Party. And with Jamboree they now HAVE to make the roster between 15 to 20+ characters.

Bro In the n64 era it was so weird to have enemys in this game considering that there are minigames with them, in those days the mario characters dont have the popularity like now they have, so it was easy to know why they added Just 6, it also would have toad since it that time also would seems rare to have the host in the board

Oh trust me I get that completely! I just look at games like Mario Golf 64 with Baby Mario and Metal Mario, and Mario Tennis 64 with DK Jr, Paratroopa, Boo, Shy Guy, Toad, etc, and even Mario Kart 64 with 8 characters, and then compare them to what Mario Party got. I can cut MP1 some slack but Mario Party 2 could've at least given us 1 or 2 more! Though it seems MP2 was more like a "redo" of MP1 more than anything else. At least MP3 gave us two more! Probably just because it's the easiest thing to complain about! Many are upset about Dry Bones, Hammer Bro and Diddy Kong not returning and while I agree, I also think it's worth being appreciative of having 20+ characters again instead of being stuck with 10 like in Superstars.
