It’s been ROUGH being a true fan. We got through the Jim Tomsula and Chip Kelly era in recent memory and it was LOOKING BAD for us. We haven’t had a QB who can actually sling the ball in years. Purdy is the first QB we had in years when he slings that deep ball I’m not holding my breath expecting a pic or incomplete. TRULY BLESSED we got this kid.

Totally agree we scored a generational quarterback! The rarest of the rare happened because of a hella rare situation where all our Q’s got hurt in one game and we even had CMC taking snaps in that Championship game. Nobody is even talking about the fact Purdy had surgery/ recovery in the off-season. And back without missing a beat. He is a Phenom. There’s no doubt about it. He proves it more and more each day. I watched Joe Montana play every game for us in the early 80’s.. I feel the same excitement watching this team as I did that team with Jerry rice and Dwight Clark and Roger Craig . I was 12 yrs old when they won their first SB together . It was magical AF watching them play every week . I have the same feelings and excitement watching our team play now . Seattle put up more of a fight than Philadelphia did. Seattle is very capable of beating Philadelphia on Monday. And yes, 49ers got EXTREMELY lucky with Purdy. Gave up three first round picks to move up and get Lance, traded him for a 4th. I liked Jimmy G, most 49ers fans appreciate how he helped bring us back up into contention, but Purdy is better than Jimmy G.

Nick was DPOY last season. He played way better last season than he has this season. He was slow to start this season and has only really turned it on about the past 5 or so games. Purdy was picked because he is a “processor”. He sees and reads the coverage better and faster than most. He is not the tallest, fastest, nor does he have a great arm. With a complex offense you want a processor more than bullet throwing arm. Brady didn’t have much raw talent, but Brady was a winner. I think Purdy will achieve greatness, but I can’t say he will have as many super-bowl rings as Brady.

Jimmy G did nothing but win!!! Do I miss him? Absolutely not, but it's not because of his talent it's because Brock's talent has surpassed Jimmy's without getting into Brock's ability to run and extend plays!!! Brock is more accurate and processes defenses instantly with an unbeatable anticipation, making throws to where his receivers are going to be, which is something Jimmy had a hard time with!!! I knew for sure that Brock was going to be the guy in the game against the Bucks when they downed a punt at the one yard line, and Purdy was able to run around and avoid being sacked for a safety which would have stressed us fans out in a huge way with Jimmy behind center because he had a 500 pound weight tied to his ankles and couldn't run to save his life!!! Jimmy was great and gave us a lot of great games, but Purdy has him beat by far!!!

Dude you say that this system is perfect for Purdy...I think it's more that Purdy is perfect for that system. There are other great QB's in the league that would not do as well as Purdy in Shanahans scheme. Bottom line is you have to be able to read and process VERY fast and MOST QB's in the league just can't do what Purdy does. Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert. None of them could dio what Purdy is doing in that scheme. They just don't process fast and react enough.
