Gabriel is in his element when he does Gospel!!! Small back story...they had about five minutes of rehearsal time and then they just let it rip!!! A ton of improv which is perfectly in Gabriel's wheelhouse. It was a dream for him to sing this song with a Gospel choir from the States. Dream come true. They had a blast and everyone was blessed!!! He is currently in LA prepping for his return appearance on AGT Sept. 19th for the semi-finals. Please push this with your listeners. We need everyone to vote for him on the 19th. Sir, First, I love your review!! I have been watching the reactions from others, but yours is far and away THE BEST on the web. Period. Second, thank you for giving the history of this song, written by Edwin Hawkins. So far, you are the only person who has said boo about the writer of this gospel classic. He had attended service at the church, The Pentecostals of Katy, in Katy, TX, and sang Goodness Of God, during the Sunday evening service. This was a totally improv jam session that happened AFTER their Sunday evening service had ended. For anyone who has complained the choir isn't perfect, well that is ok because they're singing for the Lord, not for us anyway. But they did a wonderful job backing him up. The pastor is Dr. Rob McKee and the director is his wife, Sister Shara McKee. She is a renowned singer and recording artist in her own right. You should check her out on KZbin. Anyway, loved everything you said and your reaction. Another artist you should check out is David Phelps. Peace to you😊 And that is what the Holy Ghost feels like and what CHURCH should be like!!
