Mad respect for Medina and Cibilic and everyone on the CT!! I just saw that the kids are doing backflips in wavepools!! May be time for Medina and the other aerial artists to try something other than 360's....with the Surf Ranch as a stop on the tour why not? Even an attempt would be a highlight. Rail surfing is still king though!!! Medina's 8. ride was some damn aggressive rail surfing, the waves on finals day were a bit wack, and the left's were super fast. Seemed like they had to punch the wave in the face to get anything done. Thank you World Surf League for the Live coverage!!! I can't begin tell you how much fun it's been following the tour!!!

There's a reason so many are confused by Judges Scores.. we've never seen them flail like they did on the Aussie leg of competition. Keep the Judging simple Speed/Power/Flow.. wave selection.. trix in the mix. Overly critical judging will get it wrong. Big Picture Guys. Amazing surfing!

What’s going on in Morgan’s mind? Does he really think he can beats Gabs by siting and holding priority for half of the heat without taking any waves??? Lucky him Medina didn’t land any sick air like on the last contest against him, then he would be chasing a huge combination score and it would’ve been game over at halftime of that heat. I thought he learned something in Narrabeen last time Medina beat his ass after he gets a 8,67 in his very first wave of the heat and hold priority watching Medina’s air show for the rest of the heat. What a boring heat to watch, it would’ve been so cool to see Medina battling Ítalo on this final. Anyway, congrats Medina 👊🏼

And if a perfect wave came and he rode it using priority to score well he would have won. It has been Morgans consistent strategy so far and he is ranked in the top 10 now. @@ash-ip2gc that’s why I said, luck him Medina didn’t land any sick aéreo like on the last contest Gabs beat Morgan, cuz he gave half of the heat to Medina. Otherwise the kid would be chasing a huge combination and would need not one but 2 perfect waves. You don’t need only the perfect waves to win a heat, if you’re versatile like Gabs, you make your win out of the waves you get. Medina’s back score was made under Morgan’s priority who gave him that. That kid will never beat Medina with that approach. And btw, I’m from Brazil and I’ve already surfed beside him who’s from my mother’s city. He would probably laugh and ask you to shut the fuck up.
