@miyahtallulah Everyone who speaks any language has an accent. In Britain itself natives and primary English speakers have variations in their accents depending on their regions. An accent simply means a distinctive manner of pronouncing a language. Besides, I haven't heard any English person speaking in that girl's accent. I think she's French.

A tale well told! Once Upon A Time There Was indeed CHANEL! In my beginnings as fashion designer, figuring out my twist was tough. In a world where "too much" is the definition of good, simplicity or less seemed out of place. Then I embarked on studying brands and their philosophies. A journey which brought me to CHANEL's doorpost. It was exonerating coming to the conclusion that "it is simple, Yes. But is breathtaking too!"

They praise Coco for liberating herself and design fashion not from the male gaze but the female mind yet now we have that self absorbed man as our head designer of Chanel. He shames women that don't fit his standard of beauty - I find it very hard to believe that's what Coco had in mind...

@elllisknopf42037 жыл бұрын
Sure, I'm not saying Lagerfeld is bad at catering to the market but it doesn't fit the vision Coco promoted. Just my opinion!
@doktormarjinal26247 жыл бұрын
I wonder what Chanel fashion house will do after Karl Lagerfeld. Because Karl is passionate about carrying on the legacy of Mademoiselle. Look at Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurent, he threw "Yves" away. Maybe the next designer for Chanel will not care camellias, lions or two-tone shoes. Who knows ?

Karl brought new life to the Chanel brand. He was brilliant and saved the House of Chanel. Karl was a very private man , his public persona was purely for the attention it brought to the Chanel brand. He also brought people and business to Paris when Paris was desperately needing it. He was very unique and hugely talented and interesting man. Chanel should be thankful for him....
