The best advice I can give you is: do what you want and what you like not what gives you money or happiness to other people. I'm 100% on board to do things you don't want cuz money but at the same time life if way too short to expend it on things that you hate. I wasted 10 years of my life just like you doing things that I hated but one day I decided to stop it. Everyone was pretty much pissed at me but I didn't care. I thought I would lose everything but I'd didnt happen. I'm not in the place I want to be but I'm starting to do things that I like and the difference is huge. I hope things get better to you

Really loved the aesthetic of the game and the attention to detail in the environments, but there was just one factual inconsistency in the brochure. Practicing "magic" wasn't specifically looked down upon, in fact, they had many priests and soothsayers that could purportedly use magic.

Time Zones and work keep me from streams a lot of the time, so I am happy you uploaded this one! Visually I think this is where the game is at it's strongest, but I would've struggled so much with the puzzles in this game. Hopefully the team works on adding a bit more English hints / insight when the full game comes out! But this was a lot of fun to watch!

as someone who is learning japanese, i do know most, if not all of the japanese that was in the game. the only one I did not know was metal, but it would have been a process of elimination for me in the end to figure out what I was missing. but for others who do not know any japanese, i agree with the notes in english that get added to the japanese brochure to help you understand what is going on.

Huh, reading about japanese story i don't remember geishas in the Heian period being that important, during the Heian period the geisha culture was just getting started, i don't know if they even had a name yet... The game devs could had made the woman a Shirabiyoshi, who was the "closest" thing to a geisha at the time, tho they were only dancers, they made rich men fall head over heels for then, and many families become owners of big lands and mansions bc their daughters had become Shirabiyoshis and got favors from princes and nobility. And some of prints in the game are from the Edo and Meiji era. Aside from these things i'm liking the vibe of the game a lot

Hopefully there is some kind of number translation help on the brochure item, because I don't know any Japanese kanji. If I were to play this demo I wouldn't even get past the front gate without that kind of assistance. Otherwise the game looks really great! I love when puzzle games make you pay attention to little details like writing hidden on the bottom of statues or fans, etc. Edit: just got to that part in the video, thank goodness there is LOL

The aesthetic of this game...very nice. but for people who can't read japanese/Kanji? how to open number codes in locks? you have to make sense of the kanji phase in one of the locks--it said "million years of long life" (I am Chinese)

This somewhat reminds me of the manga Summer Time Rendering! It's not entirely similar but I do think you would like it; it's a thriller, mystery, horror but not much as Junji Ito's work. 😁😁

you don’t need to know Japanese to solve the puzzles. There are clues in there to help you figure out :) It’s an extra simple layer of puzzle if you don’t know Japanese but still solvable:D
