I particularly like how she plays Jeux d'eau - so brilliant, with beautiful sound and touch! And played in this straightforward way, I think Ravel's music works best. Imagine that the Casadesus family was living in exile in America around the time of these recordings (from 1940-1946, then they returned to France)...Gaby was raising three kids and she was also managing a music school together with Robert...and *still* she could play like this!
