Yep, the lovely Angie is damn good at expressing feelings and emotions. Vocally as well as with her mimics. ❤‍🔥 Even though I suspect she has quite a bit of influence on the lyrics, I don't really know. But thanks to her, GS definitely has a lot more possibilities to express itself, as this song impressively proves. I understand all too well what you mean when you say that everyday life or a full-time job robs you of the energy to really be yourself. I became aware of Gacharic Spin with "Mindset". I did a deep dive and looked at their past releases. Let's just say they have matured over their career and are changing with the times. Their new releases are fresh, original, and fun, just like the old Gacharic Spin, but with a more mature sensibility. Gacharic Spin has adapted as their fanbase grew older and required more mature content. And that's a good thing!

Thanks Wave. Great reaction. A couple of things I've noticed about this song and the new album: Angie is really showcasing her singing abilities, and Yuri really comes out as a drummer. And thanks for your honesty. We all struggle with who we are. It takes maturity and perspective to truly find ourselves.

I'm really glad you did a reaction for Replica, Wave. Thanks for this. With the first song on W, GS is going straight for the jugular right out of the gate. Since Mindset and I Wish I, they've penned lyrics that let them express how they really feel about the state of things in the world, particularly with the society they've grown up in. For me this song is not so much about making a choice to be more authentic but the need and desire to break through the malevolent higher powers that enforce conventional words, thoughts, and actions. On another note, I've delighted in the short clips of band members covering sections of Replica, especially the one of yuri playing the last couple of minutes with the track. Her patterns on the outro are insanely well played. She usually makes it seem easy but the music is anything other than easy, and her focus in the clip shows it.

It's still amazing to me how quickly Angie can sing those lines/phrases. Not sure if it's Angie's influence or Yuri releasing Hana to play guitar, but their last album is fire and overall their music seems much more complex (if that's possible).

When Wave has a new one I am not slow, it's hip hip hip and away I go!! Okay, so I find myself being more impressed with GC every day. First of all, I love me some wild and freaky stuff - check. Secondly, those lyrics are awesome. The musicianship on display is typical for them - that is to say - jaw dropping. I am going to have to rewatch/listen many times to give this time to sink in. I am even more in awe of them because there is so much in here I would normally not like - but it's done so musically and creatively that I find my mind opening. This is happening to me a lot lately with some of these incredible bands from Japan.

Angie started having a major influence on their lyrics with Mindset (which is mostly her work). She wrote a lot of the lyrics for this album, even if the idea for the topic of a song might not be her own (this is often Koga's doing). She is also responsible for them diving into darker material (Their older lyrics usually focused on the positive or optimistic side of things). Angie is a very conflicted person (opposite to her stage persona) and they as a band let her express her thoughts. Have a good one, Wave :)

Lyrics for MindSet was written by Koga,I think you mean I Wish I which was the one written by Angie (and a few other songs).

@@xsundayxcore6137 Yep, totally got that mixed up. Mindset was the song, where Angie started her "storytelling" kind of vocal delivery, using multi characters. The lyrics were by Koga. Thanks for the catch! :)

According to their interview, the lyrics of this song are written by Oreo Reona. Oreo said it's the longest lyrics she's ever written.
