Play "Simon Says" to access the cache. The button sequence is randomly generated on each turn. Cache page: coord.info/GC6...

I don't have a how to or tutorial for this cache, have a look at geocaching.hyliston.net/2016/04/29/building-my-simon-says-smart-cache/ from where I took my inspiration. I have just uploaded a short clip showing the latch mechanism in operation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKCaYpalo9OBe7c

Genius. Using old 80's electronic games for these. Cool

Well done!. I have a kit similar from geocaching network (bounce bounce) , it uses a plastic ammo can- It was explained in a gadget show and how to build it. It was really good.They do sell these kits in case anyone was looking to do a simon says. I like the sequence you have for the buttons. I like my geocaches to be solvable not really hard. I find it good for fun geocaching. Thank you for sharing your geocache. Is it still ok or archived?
@timbosparks Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to say this is now archived. It wasn't getting many visits after the initial interest and maintenance proved to be more than I had time to keep up with. In hindsight I should have built a more weather resistant enclosure as the damp got in and started corroding the circuit.

@@timbosparks Too bad it looked good. I'll have to check out some more of your gadget and geocaches. Weather could be a problem for me too here in BC Okanagan. Heat and wet and cold.

@@timbosparksare you going to give the cache away or sell it, or keep it.

Excellent craftmanship, looks great! Thanks for sharing a further look at the lock mechanism. Is there also a further how to how the rest was made as well? And if you could e-mail the source code to me as well that would be great! Sent a message on geocaching site :)

Hi timbosparks, I did take a look at the tutorial you've mentioned, but I didn't find anything about your LED display. Can you help me out how you add this LED display to show the rounds. I really like it.

Hi timbosparks, I am almost finished with a similar cache to place in the Netherlands, when I can across your video. I love the LED setup and would love to incorporate this in my cache as well. Would you mind sending me the code for the arduino and the part you used for the LED display ? Any help would be greatly appreciated ! Geocache name = suffekat email = geocache@suffekat.nl
