At the beginning, I thought it was useless because I couldn't think of any use for a split glass bottle, except perhaps drinking out of the bottom half so it looks like you have a fancy glass but at the end, you gave some pretty good examples of what you can do with it and I probably couldn't think of using it to hold a spoon or as a vase. And that's what I like about your "life hack" video's. You always give good examples for why this is handy, unlike some other "life hack" channels. And that's really good. So keep up the great work!

Hey Dave, I made my own using a set of skate board trucks, not quite as easy use as your gizmo though. One thing I have yet to attempt, is to cut off the very bottom of the bottle, and to use an Ultra Violet activated adhesive to stick it to the neck of the bottle, to form a wine glass, but I've seen it done, and it looks kinda cool. Some bottles have nice imprints or logos on them, so I cut those to make tea light holders, either by cutting off the top, and filling the bottom with some sand or small rocks so the tea light doesn't sit on the glass, or by cutting off the very bottom, and using the rest of the bottle as a kind of glass shade, like a storm lantern. The glass can get warm like that though, but I've not had one break yet.

turn the top upside down and put in the bottom. put some dirt and a plant with a cotton string running through the dirt and hang out the bottom long enough to touch bottom of glass. fill bottom with water and you got a self watering plant.

Using them as a vase or or holder is fine. Don't use them to drink from. They are liable to break, and if someone makes the mistake of putting them in the dishwasher, they can shatter all over your dishes.

You can put some garlic in one of the glass bottles, shake it to peel it then break it like this to get the garlic ipout

Normally you use leather gloves or other heavy fabric, the rubber gloves you wore don't do much to stop a shard of glass.
