The best way to review these GPS quads is over time IMHO. With that said, I am increasingly enjoying the Upair One 2K and I am pretty confident in what to expect out of this machine. Great range obtained in an area with little to no signal interference. I said it has a 25mw VTX in the video; that was a mistake, it is actually 50mw.

I will be replacing the props before the next flight; noticing some jitter (albeit slight) that is not usually there, so I am pretty sure these props need to be balanced. Still pretty silky smooth for a 2-axis gimbal.

You're probably getting the Plus model which is a upgrade on the one I got. I think it will have a way to manually calibrate the compass, which is what the original didn't have so it wasn't as stable. The main thing I would recommend is just take it slow. You'll be fine since you've flown so many birds and dealt with GPS before. It's a pretty good bird. I'm interested to see your review. Oh, with that motorized gimbal just make sure you have enough ground clearance when you launch and land and nothing obstructs its movement.

Gadget, I know you've moved on, but do you have any idea the difference in the FPV signal strength between the Upair One and Upair One Plus? Would using my smart phone give a bit better distance? Can't find anywhere that answers this...or even details the differences between the two models, really...any idear?

saaweeet! number 10 in the series and counting! my upair one should arrive by next weekend or maybe a day or 2 earlier....its coming from florida...hes shipping her out on monday... a note about various issues that different quads are experiencing: i did a short video on that tiny sticker on just about every electronic device...yes...that one...the fcc part15 rule that states that the device is not to cause harmful interference AND it must accept any interference that can cause undesireable operation... i personally disagree with that 2nd part about accepting interference...the 1st part i can live with... so before people get upset with a certain model/brand they need to consider that part15 of the fcc ruling... more than likely its not the quads fault...sure there might be a defect here and there but just consider what they have to deal with... ok i said my 2 pennies worth lol....great videos as always my brother!

Yep, those will connect with your Upair One. Those are the same ones I'm using in this video. You won't be able to record the screen because the VR007s don't have a DVR, but otherwise, you can use them for FPV for sure.

I modified my VR007 with a DVR by soldering onto the board. If you're handy with a soldiering iron you can do it to. However, the DVR is about $15-20, so you may be better off just getting a little higher priced pair of goggles. I haven't reviewed these personally, but I have seen nothing but rave reviews about them. They're called the Eachine VRD2 and they have a built in DVR. Hi Ti Lu. I think the best way to answer that is to direct you to the video. It's the best evidence. You could also check some of the other vids I did on the Upair One. Remember, it only has a 2-axis gimbal so it won't take away vibrations while yawing. So depending on how you fly and/or whether there is a lot of wind you'll likely see some jitter here and there. Overall though for the price and package its not bad IMHO. I've seen that Hubsan and it looks like a beast and has a 3-axis gimbal. It's also more than double the price of the Upair One, so you really can't compare the two. I bought my Upair One for $289. The only thing I didn't like about the Hubsan is the legs get in the view of the camera when turning the quad. Also, you could get a DJI Phantom 3 Pro for the same price.

koool! i just got in from another fly with her...actually got a bit braver...went to 14m lol...flew lazy figure 8s too... im still getting only around 8min flights...by 7 min the voltage was around 10.8 or so...and the motors are very warm too...maybe i need to let the batteries get "back in the groove"...im sure shes been sitting for awhile... both battery packs lasted around 8min or so...wonder if theyre possibly getting a lil tired?

I regularly get about 13-14-minutes after about a year of use on the original battery. When I first got it, I would get close to 18 to 19-minutes. My RTH kicks in at about 10.5volts, so keep that in mind as well.

oo ok...so i actually do have a short bit of time left... do your motors get really warm too? i kept forward flying a bit more but possibly not enuff to actually keep the motors cooler... if i can get 10min. of flying(timer set for 10min) and keep a check on my voltage i should be ok? thanks again bro!

The original version comes with the monitor. The plus requires a smartphone, but has advanced features using an app.

The 2K (1080p) camera is good, but obviously 4K gives you more options with your footage. If it's in the budget I say go 4K.

Oh wow, you watched the whole series? Excellent! Well, you should have a pretty good idea about this drone. I showed you all of the ups and downs I've had with it. I was able to get that range because of where I was flying. It's a very remote area with no interference from wifi signals and such.

Anyway I'm from Texas and I live out in the country so me and my dad would be flying it at my house so there shouldn't being any signal interference I think I'm gonna buy two of these for sure. Hey Robin. Honestly, I have not flown my Upair One since last summer. I ended up getting a few other drones and that one has been neglected. Prior to that though, I hadn't had any major problems. I did have a crash that I believe was caused by a bird (a hawk), but I can't substantiate that. There were a bunch of them flying in the area though the day of the crash. It was about 150-feet high. The drone crash landed in some tall brush so there was really no damage. Otherwise, it has held up well. I'll dust it off and put it up sometime this spring now that you mentioned it.

henry trinity unfortunately drone companies often exaggerate flight times (amongst other things). When I first got mine I was getting about 16 to 18 minutes, but never any more than that. 11 minutes is really short. Is it a new battery? What's your battery voltage at 11-minutes?

Hey Gary. I haven't flown it since I got my Phantom 4 and that has been about a year ago now. Since then, I've gotten a Spark and a Mavic 2 Pro. I'm really sorry I can't help. Lipo batteries can be very dangerous, so if the battery is dead it may be safest just to replace it. There are ways to recover standard lipos, but since this one is encased and has special plugs I'm not sure what could be done.

The telemetry is included with the quadcopter in its stock configuration. The only thing I did was record it using the DVR in my FPV goggles.

I'm honestly not sure. The video feed uses 5.8ghz so you can use goggles that pick up that frequency on available channels. I've used VR goggles on toy grade quadcopters that use a wifi signal for video. This version of the Upair does not have that capability.
