I wouldn't use Motion Sensor in ranked but as a casual in WT solo que I've been getting surprising use out of it! I have it on medium and being able to set them up all over the place helps keep my team alert and there are even times where it feels like having recon senses back. Your mileage may vary but I've been pleasantly surprised by the gadget

I came to say the same thing. I run it on heavy, because it's basically an instant team upgrade. I drop it as I start to push and suddenly my team is supporting the push, healing, getting picks, etc. I would love to bring something more useful to me but it just works.

@@the_mochiking I agree and do the same. Motion sensor on heavy is def not garbage. I think it works well with randoms because sometimes they will leave you as heavy alone while running off to look for a fight but once they see that enemy ping they come running back to you and can have your back. It just keeps everybody working together

I think gas should be niche tier because gas can sometimes completely stall a cashout for a very long time, unless the team has a way of cashout manipulation they will be forced to just watch the gas dissipate before even trying to steal (i know there's a shit ton of counters to that, but if they don't have none, it's a free cashout)

The little problem with gravity vortex compare to breach/c4 for denied cash i think is the way you can hide it, like breach/c4 you can put it under the cash or even below the ground. While gravity you can't really hide that if enemy is pretty aware they can just brake it easily. But i still try finding a way to hide it, and of course for now its pretty work since people not really get used to fight it yet

For a Medium, sonar sensor is S tier in Quick Play and lower elo where most lobbies that are mostly Lights.

You're severely underrestimating how oppressive a barrage of wallhack abilities can be in any kind of shooter. I don't think any amount of awareness, game sense or coordination can compare to knowing the actual position of someone else, even if slightly delayed, and the panic you feel when the words DETECTED appear on your screen. It's been a problem in every video game that's implemented that feature for decades now, and none of those skills belong in shooters IMO. We had problems with it on Rainbow Siege: Six with Lion, with Bloodhound or Seer in Apex Legends... hell, when we had Recon Senses back then. Preaiming on someone with recon nades is still quite easy to do, and no comms can tell you where the exact head level is for some other player.

You didn't say it. So I like the defense of blocking the top left of doorway frames with the jumppad so they cannot crouch underneath to shoot or enter but you still have legs to shoot. Gas mines with as versatile point sensors if you can guess where they are crossing from, how far behind they are following. Solo strats but I don't hear them mentioned. I like data reshaper over difib for more utility impact overall in season 5. The larger barricade is easier to reshape than break. Data Reshaper should be meta.

The amount of times smokes were able to help me: -evade a fight, -last-second ninja steal a cash out without team wiping the enemy -Conceal my teams movements and obstruct lines of sight almost instantly -Opens tremenedous revive opportunities and steals And yes this is AS LIGHT. Where the added concealment helps compensate the low health and the abundant near death situations.

You gotta show some more use cases of gravity vortex, it just feels mediocre at everything and doesnt open up any light archetypes. Small radious, easy to get out of, extremely noticeable, easy for enemies to continue to steal, and hard to throw with a time delay on detonation It doesnt effectively offer anything other than stalling which isnt a fun addition to the game. Stalling as a nich oppurtunistic use of other gadgets is great, but a gadget dedicated to it is just frustrating

I highly disagree on gas/pyro grenades, because it is insane how Appoh completely missed the fact that these grenades allow to control the flow of fights, manipulating enemies to fight in a certain direction you want, and, the most important part, that they might give more time to defend the cashout - like that is the f-ing point of the game. Gas and pyro grenades have pros and cons, but they are def not “garbage”.

Smoke and thermal with lh1 is actually super strong 💪 very underrated enemies iterally can't see you and you can beam them through the smoke. Your team definitely has to play around it though because they won't be able to see unless they play light.

my Opinion on Defib: I played some Games with and without friends and maybe me and my friends arent as good yet but being able to revive someone and do something else at the same time is still broken. Playing without it on a Medium at least in a HML Team feels really ,,slow“. With the Defib i can return to the fight and help my other Teammate immidiatly while the other person heals up and rests in the safe corner you revived him in. it safed some games for sure because of this timesafe

I have a question about gameplay. When is it beneficial to deposit the cash out and then have your whole team move away from it in order to deny/deposit the second cash out. I just started playing the game again and the whole depositing meta and strategies is confusing

If you deposit your cashout and see the other cash box is far away from the other cashout, it can be smart for your team to go get it, especially if you have a good light. You can then throw in the cash box on the empty cashout, run back to the first cashout you had, since it will finish first, wait until it's done, then go back to other cashout and steal it. This let's your team deposit and bank both cashouts without having to deal with all three teams on one cashout. I would only do this, though, if your team is much better than the rest of the lobby, and well coordinated.

Does gas/pyro mine do more damage than gas/pyro grenade? I'm trying to understand why you are putting the grenades in Garbage tier, but the mines in B tier. Like, how is throwing a gas mine, then shooting it, better than simply throwing a gas grenade? That is poor usage of the gas mine and a gas grenade would be better in that situation.

Mines are better versions of grenades. You can manage the time of gas mine but not grenade. It basically has more potential creative usage than gas grenade. For pyro mine its far better than pyro grenade. It deals additional explosion damage with fire damage. And you have 2 charges. Rpg+pyro mines combo is insanely good right now

Cool list but can I pitch this idea of a new light specialization to you. It’s A 2 second rewind specialization kinda like tracer that can take to a spot you were 2 seconds ago. It would allow for you to protect cash outs and help teammates out if used correctly it would also allow for quick change in positioning. Also it can refund bullets that were fired in those previous 2 seconds. It would take 0.3 seconds to activate and would have a cooldown of 18seconds.

Gas was definitely better when there was 2 charges and there were less ways to light it on fire (and people were new to the game and didn't understand it). But nowadays, on the rare occurrence I see someone get a kill with either gadget it is a team kill. Also, keep in mind, this list is from his experience in high ranked lobbies.

gas was nerfed 1 time, it used to tick for the max damage on the first tick but now it has a small build up on the first few ticks. I don’t think it shifted its place in the meta, people just got better
