I love the Gaelforce lines. I have a 63' 7/8 cut into a head. I actually use on a 14' 9/10wt and the only issue I have is I'm afraid I will run out of shooting from wanting to keep launching this thing further and further. Another great video Tim!

great casting speybro, i like your slow controlled airplane anchor landing, it leads to effortless and smooth and beautifull loops and long casts.

NICE Tim. Bruce was very generous with his time with me trying to help. VERY generous. Besides being a tough student, I had the wrong gear. Going to save up for the 15’ Gaelforce Equalizer rod and line from Poppy you demoed in another video. Just saying. Followed you from the beginning.

Very cool! Thanks for sticking with me! Bruce is great! Has helped me a ton and continues to do so! You will love your Galeforce Rod and Line!

To learn singel spey with your left hand, when you are right handed.- is in fact really easy. The problem is - nobody tries. But if they do, it takes not more than a few days to learn it.

thanks Jim, it is a13'9" Anglers Roost Euro Scandi Spey. Ufortunately they are not available anymore. this makes me very sad because the blank was only 40 bucks and its a screamer!

Hi Tim, thank you for the nice video. Where about do you cut the head of? Do you keep a short section of the orange running line or do you cut it where it is fat or?
@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins4 жыл бұрын
a couple feet up from the orange so its still skinny at the butt so the loop isnt too fat. season to taste though! cut it long to start with, because you can always trim more!

How to match the weigtht of short belly spey head? Looking at 15m Equqlizer Extended Spey Heads I find them much heavier per weight rate than scandi heads do. If my 15' rod casts 40g scandi heads, what weight of EES15M shall I choose?
@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins4 жыл бұрын
I suggest a 648 Grain #8 Head, or #9 for a deeper load if you think your rod can handle the extra grains!

@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins Thank you for advise Tim! I have been following you since very beginning, as I've begun my spey jurney similar time you did. Thanks your videos I was able to compare progress you do with my development, which was motivation for my practices. At some point I've stopped at mastering my scandi / underhand casting skills, while you went further in the grand spey direction. Now is my turn ;) ! You do great job with your blog! Appreciate, Maciej

Well that’s the only way I can cast LOL is with a small fly LOL freaking sweet though any tips for a bad shoulder and elbow..
@romanmomot79303 жыл бұрын
Before forward cast you stop for a fraction of a second, that's bad, you lower the rod too low, that's also bad.Do not raise your hands above your head, you throw a short spey line, it is enough to the height of your head.
@whisperingblues98872 жыл бұрын
The is a very expensive line would you really want to be chopping it to add a mono running line don't think so somehow just doesn't make sense.
@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins2 жыл бұрын
these lines are available from Red shed fly shop pre chopped for a less expensive price without the running line
@whisperingblues98872 жыл бұрын
@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins yeh already new that the full line is 100 pound here in the UK the shooting head alone is around the 60 pound mark that's the way i would go the shooting heads are really first class .
@chrisbradshaw57054 ай бұрын
First thing you do is chop that line and add mono, unless you think casting is fun with the E-brake on😜
@timhoward5863Ай бұрын
Poor casting. Far to much line in contact with the water on the forward cast (you can hear it peeling off) and far to low a delivery (aim higher on the forward cast).
