Is it normal for some steam to come out from the right side of the machine right before it starts the normal steaming process? It did this since day 1. I am using double filtered water.

Hi WW, yes that is normal. From time to time the machine does vent some steam.

I'm having some weird issues, where at times the water to pull the espresso comes out of the cap in cupp system instead. and then just in general the cap in cupp system doesnt sound right and often makes watery milk without foaming it properly. The machine is only 1-2 months old and ive cleaned the capp in cupp system. Would it need descalling this early? could that be the issue or is it something wrong with the steamer?

Hi dy, That is weird! I doubt descaling is the issue. Are you sure you are operating the machine properly - pressing the right button for steaming? Another common issue is milk residue in the capp in cup device - be sure it's clean. @@Wholelattelovepage Yeah it was very odd that it would be a descaling issue considering how long its been in use and the issues it was presenting. But after descaling it returned to normal and started frothing milk properly. Im not sure why water was coming out of the frother instead of the main dispenser (even when rinsing itself after shutting down) but running the full test showed everything was working. After descaling it was back to normal.

@@Denizyarsuvat Happy to hear you resolved the issue. I can imagine if the thermoblock was scaled the machine may not have been able to heat properly to steaming temperature. Perhaps your source water is rather hard? You might consider more frequent descaling or filtering/treating water to reduce calcium concentration and prevent problems in the future. For that purpose we recommend BWT Water + More products. In addition to removing chlorination they employee calcium to magnesium ion-exchange to prevent scale.
