Turn the printer off. Move the print head to the left of park (you might have to press the cutter to get the head to move) and you'll see 2 small rectangular areas, the one on the right is where it parks, it's called the cup. Fold up a piece of absorbent paper a couple of times to about the same size as the cup, soak with window cleaner and place in cup, then move the heads back onto it for 30 minutes. Remove the paper & print. This sorted out my printer after not using it for about 6 months.

Thanks for sharing! I was looking for ANY other option than taking the entire printer apart, and I found your video. Had success with this!

Try using VIVA towels. They are a little thicker and stronger, where you won't have to fold it up, and they shouldn't tear when wet.

Thanks! That's the same thing I do for my R1900 as well. I'm getting a 7600, (used but in great shape, aesthetically speaking) tomorrow. It hasn't been in used for about a year so I'm sure the nozzles are clogged. I'm bringing my cleaning solutions and paper towels to see if I can get it done. If I can't I may not buy it... (it would be a shame because it looks in great shape). BTW, as someone else pointed out, it would have helped if you had shown the Print head transport release method, (I'll look it up). ;) I'd like to say that I only had clog problems with non OEM inks and/or not using the printer for long spans of time. I now run a nozzle check followed but a colored print that targets all the ink cartridges in my R1900 once every 2 or 3 weeks. You can bet I'll do the same for the 7600 if I get it. Thanks again.

Not as long as they should. If you take the ink out of a spent 110ml cartridge it fills a 35mm film canister, spent 220ml cartridges fill 2 film canisters.

I tried your process and it cleans pretty good on my 9600, However I can't get the magenta to print the pattern. It prints part of it. Do you have a solution?

Thank you for this video. I tried the same tactic with water and did not work. Windex seemed to do the trick.

water won't do anything.. use 50% windex and 50% ammonia.. I guarantee 100%

I bought this printer and I did some hard and soft cleanings while also performing your techniques. I have gotten all but the regular magenta to print clearly. The magenta is totally blocked! HELP!

Hi I see air in the lines of ink on this printer, do you know how to fix it? it sounds like i have to draine it or prime it.. please some help
@tarotoculus10 жыл бұрын
It would help if you stated to push the cutter lever right by the print head to release the print head. I had to look elsewhere for that. Also, your video could be shorter. I felt myself skipping through most of it to get to the essential part.

I have just purchased a second hand 7600. I have gone through all the pre installation set ups, lining print heads, making sure the print nozzles are clear. I am now trying to do prints from my computer but the print quality is terrible, not very sharpe and always seems to have a tint of brown in them, any ideas?

Terrible advice.You should only use fiberless wipes or swabs. Windex is questionable advise, and that printer looks like salvage equipment with the way he takes care of it.
@visualartist091010 ай бұрын
You ain't kiddin, my inital thought was the fibers. Also im going to research the best solvent. If nothing works, i must replace or remove and clean the head myself. I havent printed in a while because the connection to my desktop was lost and i dont know how to get them to work together. Anyways, couldnt help but reply, even 8 yrs later. thats even if you see this.
