How to clean your Epson 3800 / 3880 Print Head

Thank you for this very helpful video. Once the printhead has been cleaned, how long do I need to wait before using the printer? Do I need to pass any test prints through before using it for printing photos?

I now have 5 heavily inked cloths and my Light Black is still completely blocked. What else can the issue be? And I'm thinking this process must be sucking ink out of the ink cartridges because the nozels can't be That dirty?

Hello. My epson 3880 is printing completely blank pages. There is enough ink and I have done a nozzle cleaning 3 times. Is this a hardware problem? Electronic problem?

When printing with photo black I am getting black thick stripes at the edge of the paper. Strangely, when printing with matte the picture is perfect. Any ideas what goes wrong?

I'm having a very similar problem. short thick black lines appearing on my prints. Usually towards the sides but now appearing randomly throughout the print. Did you get a solution for your issue?

@@vincep.paratore1684 I have only partly solved the problem as shown in the video. Although I did try many times the glossy black does not work anymore. So I am using up all my ink for matt pictures and then I will buy the new P900 Epson.

I tried this for 3 days and my light black isn't printing. I looked at my cartridges, all of my other Inks are running low on ink from printhead cleanings and my light black ink is still at the top, it's like the ink is not entering the printer.

The printhead is touching the pad! That's why you're getting ink on the pad "straight away", not because of the vapor.
