I tried making an all-hand-traps Ursarctic deck featuring Hop Ear Squadron and Noble Knight's Shield-Bearer for turn zero Synchro Summons (or turn 1.5 in the case of Shield-Bearer); it featured a lot of the cards used here. It was pretty consistent with a lot of good versatile targets, but it just didn't stand up to the meta game power level at all. Had more success with a deck that I made using all monsters with effects that perform Fusion Summons funnily enough - the Predaplant fusions while costly are actually pretty good alongside some of the Albaz fusions, and Aleister with Magical Meltdown serves as both a good engine piece and bit of protection.

Master Duel is, in fact, not bugged (at least not in that way), Miracle Synchro Fusion needs you to use a Synchro

Correct. For another example, you can use it to summon Norden, but you can't use two Xyz monsters as material, even though that's valid material for Norden. You have to actually use a Synchro monster.

@@yasharthpandey6317 interesting, this is flat-out a ruling change. used to be they used exterio as an example of a monster you _could_ summon off of miracle synchro fusion via name shenanigans, but if you go to the miracle synchro fusion page you'll find that same example and now all of a sudden it says the same thing as that crystal bell one wonder how long that change has been there, as well as what card made them change it because i doubt it was either miracle synchro fusion or red-eyes fusion and figure they're just victims of the shared mechanic being tweaked

Yeah, I can't figure out why Miracle Synchro Fusion wouldn't work, either. I thought it might've been a material thing, but Earth Hex-Sealed Fusion should've worked as a substitution card. My next thought was materials, but the "1 face-up monster you control" could've been Verte itself. The only thing I can think of is that it does check to make sure you have a Synchro you can use for the fusion, so you might need to figure out a way to use Muddy Mudragon instead of the Hex-Sealed Fusion.

That complaint at the end wasn't a bug. Miracle Synchro Fusion needs a Synchro for the same reason Red-Eyes Fusion must use Red-Eyes. If it specifies a material on the effect that is fusing, you can't substitute for that material.

The Miracle Synchro Fusion case is interesting. I'm guessing they'd planned to use the Hex-Seal in grave as a substitute for the Pyro Gaia synchro to make the Pyro Gaia fusion. "Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists a Synchro Monster as material, by banishing Fusion Materials listed on it from your field or GY." MSF requires the fusion monster it's summoning to name a synchro monster as it's fusion material, but it doesn't explicitly require you to use a synchro monster as material; That said it does say "fusion materials listed on it" instead of the usual "using monsters from x or y as material", which suggests it doesn't allow for substitute materials. But it does have OCG precedent with allowing Phantom of Chaos to be used as material for Naturia Exterio while treated as either Beast or Barkion which suggests otherwise. Gaia Prominence's other material is a face up monster you control, so if MSF is mutually exclusive and takes materials from either field OR grave then that could be it since hex seal was in grave, but afaik it doesn't work that way and it's wording doesn't differ much from other fusion spells like Poly that can use materials from both locations.
