@@GTV-Japan To be fair, this feels like it came out around the time of Rockman 1, and that game certainly doesn't feel like it would get a sequel at the time... It's amazing how much consistency across the board when it comes to Mega Man lore. Be it this manga, the Archie comics adaption, and even the American cartoon series, they keep the same bullet points of the character origins. Unlike the two certain other video game franchises that have backstories that are completely different in the West and Japan.

Mario and Sonic. Mario's Western origin has been consistently that he was a Plumber from New York who somehow found the Mushroom Kingdom via some warp pipe, but the Japanese origin seems to have been retconned to Yoshi's Island's story. Like they've been born in the Mushroom kingdom, and that Mario and Luigi are the same age. Sonic is all over the map. I remember a promotional comic advertisement that had some weird backstory about him being a regular hedgehog that a not yet evil Dr. Robotnik experimented on. I found a comic dub video if you're curious. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3zUg3yhh6qif9U And that origin was never brought up again.

Mega Man is the most consistent video game franchise ever made. It's both its greatest strength, but also its greatest weakness. Sonic is too inconsistent, Megaman is too consistent. Taking no risks with a franchise (Mega Man) can hurt it just as much as taking too many risks (Sonic).

Thanks ColeFam! Yes in the Japanese text it’s called ice crusher. I don’t know why it’s changed in English. They should have put Time Man and Oil Man in the 1st Adventure of MegaMan for NES and they should have put them in the manga version of that adventure, seen in this video. Same with the comic book of it. Do you agree?

Well, that giant boss in Mega Man 2 that looks like Guts Man actually is Guts Man. Wily upgraded him to the Guts Dozer!! Also, in Mega Man 7, you can see several of the Robot Masters in the Robot Museum Stage. And if you're lucky enough to play the Saturn version of Mega Man 8, you fight Cut Man and Wood Man again!

My parents bought me and my sister Mega Man 2 when it came out. Seems like that was the game that pushed it into the main stream.. classic title screen etc. I remember buying Mega Man X for the snes in the K-mart bargain bin along with Flashback and Zombies Ate My Neighbours for snes in 1996... classic... Mega Man X2 was great too.. aside from that, I never got into any of the other games. I have the Mega Man game on the PS2, X7? It's complete trash!!!

Breaking news!!! X7 sucks!!!! Hey I’m glad ya came by. I can’t believe x1 was in a bargain bin. That was an awesome one! It seems like very few had MegaMan 1 but I looked it up and it Sold 1.2 million copies! Of course 2 is the best! Thanks for watching on day 1 brother 🌮

@@GTV-Japan That kind of stuff bothers me, Dragon Ball does that a lot. Everyone shifts muscle mass between sagas, and not just for certain forms or anything. Height too, even hair color (it bothers me way too much that Trunks has different hair color in Dragon Ball Super, and oddly, it's even different between his kid and adult form).
