Yeah, I remember that one!! Friender, Casshern, and Luna helping out our Shonen Astro-Robo-Hero! (LOL) Just my humble opinion, though. Not saying it wasn't relevant However, "Casshern Sins" on the other hand? Damn.. it totally changed the story and characters, but its is still one of my favorite Anime, feeling it was a much more cautionary tale about robotics and a touching story about humanity. It's really a mystery a first, since things have changed so much, you don't know who has really done what or is this the punishment for what happened with all those robo movies?? Can we even find hope in a world of despair, darkness, and dystopia of that word??

This was so well narrated! I love hearing the updated music from the 'power fighters' of the ol classic game itself!...and it almost feels like I'm playing the game all over again while watching this! This really takes me back to when I was 8 years old and got this as my 2nd game for the NES. Ah the memories! Wish I knew then there was a manga for the game but you know, back then we never had access to this kinda stuff like we have now...great job and thanks for putting up this video. A definate share!

I kind of laughed too hard when Air Man proclaimed he could NEVER be defeated. Reminded me of that “I can’t defeat Air Man” song. Also, never realized Heat Man’s level took place in the sewers. I love these obscure video game strategy guide style manga. So much better than that weird Mega Man 2 American novelization. Which was a thing. There really didn't seem to be much more variation than "Mega Man goes through a level, fights the boss and moves on" in that book. While that's going to be the case for direct video game adaptions of Mega Man, this is handled far better here as a comic book style of storytelling. Something more visual.

I would have never known about the book had I not found it at a Goodwill. It was 50 cents, I was curious, I read it and I wanted my 50 cents back. Let's put it that way.

I can't really blame the guy who wrote it. It was pretty much a literal game play to story translation, and "going through level, meet villain, fight and defeat villain" has to be handled in a much more outside the box approach. That's why Mega Man's cartoons and anime went more of a character driven story by story route, rather than straight up adaptions of game play. The short lived Archie series managed to do both adaption and stories in between to keep things fresh. I think that was a nice middle ground.

You forgot the SECRET stage-character that you can find by clicking Mega-Man on the stage-select screen and typing A, B, then direction pad R - L R, R - L , UP UP, DN, DN... the infamous [ANTI Konami Code] for true Capcom Games!! This let's you now you choose, OTAKU-MAN; a super mega-fan to mega-man!! His stage is this montage of several popular Anime/Manga plus other Capcom Games or Japan hits at the time!! It's the largest single stage, by far, that you've come across compared to any other the other robotis. I'm honestl surprised and shocked that nobody has found it after all these years! Here's a quick overview... ​[Part 1] Kung-fu 1/2 Robots from the "Anything Goes School of Robotic Martial Arts!" They are pretty tough, but if they get doused with, or fall into, any WATER?? Their total design changes, usually making them weaker into a cat, a dog, a goose, etc. ​[Part 2] ... a "Dirty Pair" of female robots that destroy more of the stage than they do YOU. a "Dirty" pair that destroys more of the stage than they do YOU... ​[Part 3] ... a strange, group of 5 "Volcanic Lions" that each have a mini-boss stage; Fire is Red, Water is Blue, Wood is Green, Earth is Yellow, and Black is Metal/Wind... their tough, so best to grab your energy tank. BUT if you do choose to brave the side-quests, just DON'T beat up on them too much!! End it quick towards the end with a Crash-Bomb or Stop-Flash before they merge into Vol-Con! and he's the toughest S.O.B. you'll face vs. any of the robots you've faced in any of the normal stages this far. IF you can take him down?? You get the hidden and strongest 9th weapon: "Form Phazing McGuffin!" A glowing golf-club, shaped thing that let's you block incoming attacks by holding the attack button OR get close enough to whack away at the mini-boss and in just 3 hits, no matter who it is, or what it is, (includes every Dr. Wily stage, 3 hits = 3 bits! Of robot, cuz this thing slices its way thru almost anything!!! [Part 4] ... a strange, medieval setting with a robot called Arthur? It finds you fighting Ghosts and Goblins for just a bit only to send you back to the start of the entire stage, each and every time, with some new BS excuse for every-time. Best advice, seriously, just avoid it altogether! Keeps saying it's an illusion, then you need some other things to unlock the other thing... get sent back again?? And, yeah, just avoid it.. ​[Part 5] ... and finally, you reach Otaku-man!! At first, this guy is just laying on the floor drinking Citrus Dew triangle shaped Doki-Doki Chips, while a huge stage is full of speakers, neon lights, cybernetic cat-girls, and quite a large audience that dictates how things will go! i.e. music and lights make Mega-Man disoriented and the glow sticks color from the crowd will show what type from the speakers is next, like a knockdown wave or an EMP disruption or even healing you?? After taking out the speakers, Mega-Man gets the attention of the Idol singers; Cybernetic Girls in tank tops, pink mini-skirts, random music instruments and cat ears who dance and sing the Purr-Mew-Mew song until your ready to throw up!! Using their music notes notes in a variety of random patterns; spirals, spreads, phasing/flashes, and exploding spheres that borderline on bullet-hell, making Otaku-man to at least get up and notice, cheering on at certain times,cheer on!! But, who is he really cheering for?? Finally, Otaku-Man comes out himself and it looks like he's hacked all the "old" Mega-Man 1 super gear. He gives you a recharge on your health and special weapons just as the screens flash, "Why don't you keep your power ups, dummy!" before he relentlessly attacks you with said gear. The lowest you can go is 1hp again and it seems Otaku-Man likewise can't be defeated no matter what attacks you use. He shakes his head but realizes that your the "typical shonen protagonist" and this isn't his game. So.. you know what this means?? Super-Team Up!! [Part 6] In addition to the "Form Phazing McGuffin" that does require five seconds for the power-up sequence, Otaku-Man gifts you all the older MM1 weapons, increasing your roster to 15 and they are twice as effective when using them against the appropriate enemies. I.E. Gutsman can go up to GutsDozer and, if you use it at the right moment, one the third jump before he... sorry, wrong game. On the last part before you could jump up without damage towards him, you can actually pick HIM up and ONE-SHOT Guts-Dozer in one... er, move. Solid stuff, GTV!! I liked the Live Manga-reading and I was waiting for Otaku-Man to show up! ;) That ending though.. Crash Man, The top of the Building, the Base as Mega Man looks out over the city knowing that his creator Dr. Light is also beside him and proudly exclaiming, "All Your Base, Are Belong to Us!" CHEERS and HAPPY THANKSGIVING GTV n FRIENDS!! ^_^

Wow, these comics really don’t have Mega Man fighting the Robot Masters in the correct order. In the first game, you should go for Bomb Man first, and then use his weapon against Guts Man next - but the manga series put Guts Man first. And in Mega Man 2, you should go up against Air Man first, and not even try against Metal Man until later when you’ve got Quick Man’s boomerangs.

Thanks, don't be afraid to say it! But then again it's not like that's a hard feat. haha. To answer your question (for free by the way!) NO i will not be doing Mario-kun. Those have been translated in some cases into English, and as well they are still in production which could lead to copyright issues. However! I will be digging deeper into other manga artists and will deliver 5 or maybe 6 new manga in 2021. Mega Man 3 and Hulk Hogan are already known. But there will also be 1 more Mario and 1 more NES classic as well as one PC engine series. If i have time to get it all done. I think I got it though. thanks for checking out more vids! 😎

always thought the robot masters of mega man 2 were based on mega man 1s as a sort of upgraded versions of them metal man = cut man bubble man and flash man = ice man clash man/crash man = the powers of guts man and bomb man combined (according to the Archie comics) quick man = runs and the speed of electricity (elec man) heat man = fire man wood man = a mix between guts and ice man air man = likely a completely original design if you include the mega man powered up robot masters flash man = time man no oil man equivalent and for the 2 people asking no bond man equivalent

Small thing, but Mega Man 2 is subtitled The Mystery of Dr. Wily, not Dr. Wily's Revenge.

This book is actually called Dr. Wily’s Revenge, more accurately, Dr. Wily’s “plot” as the full title is ロックマン Dr.ワイリーの陰謀 and doesn’t use the number 2. It gets worse as the next book is based on the game boy game Rockman world 3. All of this happened as the books were made a bit after the original games and I guess the author took some liberties. I can't help but laugh when you try to describe Metal Man as formidable... I get that this is a guide for a brand new game and they're trying to sell these bosses, but LOL!!
