Thanks for this information, I'm still finding my way around the SDRuno, so thanks for this informative video. A video like this, is a great help in understanding how the RSPdx functions as a receiver, with the SDR console.

Great video, can you do one on the AF AGC loop please - mine does not seem to work :)

I second this request for more information on AGC from the RX and EX control panels' point of view as I'm not clear on how it works. Many thanks for all the great videos!

Would it be a good idea to adjust the RF gain such that the noise floor just appears? Also, on the BCB that you showed, there was a noise slope from left to right--ignoring the signals. What causes this? Is it differential gain in the RSP or is the noise legitimately different from the low to higher frequencies? Or are we seeing the antenna as a tuned circuit such that it is resonant at the higher frequency? Your explanation btw was superb! I watch this a couple of times and having that knowledge makes runing the SDR EASIER and NOT more complicated. Well done.

Dennis Mathias as you adjust RF Gain the AGC will tend to counteract those changes to preserve optimum levels into the ADC. For this reason just go for as much gain as you can without ADC overload. However, if you turn off the AGC and set the gain levels manually your suggestion of looking at the noise floor is a good one. In fact on the early versions of Uno, before the AGC action was considerably improved, that was the best approach. Also note that since this video was released the AGC has been further improved in v1.3, removing some of the “jumpiness” in the spectrum when nearby transmitters were keyed. I’m not sure about the slope, it’s not usually there, I think it is just a quirk of the random wire antenna I was using at the time. Thank you for your interest.

@@SDRplayRSP So I take it that there would be no scenario where taking manual control of the IF AGC could help copy a weak signal?

In my version V1.42 1014 the small black window for the IF AGC settings looks very different. I can't seem to let SDRuno control the gain automatically for a frequency. I have to do so manually.

The video was for an earlier version of Uno. For the latest version please refer to the User Manual Section 2.1.1

Lengthy confusing not user friendly i would rather go to Sdrconsole for my surprise in ssb 20 meter it is showing signals that are not present at all in sdruno using sdrplay same antenna

Curious if there is a way to control the audio delay on the RSPdx? I listen with my Icom 7300 and the RSPdx and notice a audio delay. The 7300 hears the audio first and then I hear it on the RSPdx a moment later.
@subzerolives3 жыл бұрын
That's normal as the computer must process the audio before you hear it.

I have just talked to 5 of my friends in our Ham club, and they said they messed up their setting also over the last few months, so much , they can't use their RSP1A... please put a software button on the screen to reset

MAIN window OPT button and select RESET. You will loose any saved workspaces and you will need to redefine the audio output.

It's also on PAGE 12 of the SDRuno manual. www.sdrplay.com/docs/SDRplay_SDRuno_User_Manual.pdf
