This is the best, most simplest review of both ISP products! I like how the video was short and concise, and you easily demonstrated and explained the signal path.

Thank you so very much for an excellent explanation of how I should work with my new ISP DecGS. Much appreciated. I am using in front of my Iridium with Compadre and RevvG3. Incredible heavy produced sound!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼

Great video! I have a 6505 with a ISP Decimator II G-String but can't figure out how to connect them. I do not use any pedal in between.

hey i really need gelp i have the decimator g string I'm trying to set it up so that it is guitar - OD pedal - pre amp guitar pedal - g string - into fx return to use my pre amp guitar pedal as the distortion signal instead of front of amp. is there a way i can do it?

Does Decimator 2 suck any tone out of your O.D. PEDALS. LIKE THE BOSS NS2 ? (ANYONE) 🤔 GOOD VIDEO BTW!!😎👍
@PippPriss2 жыл бұрын
No, the G String is absolutely transparent compared to the NS-2. On a 5150, I actually like the mid bump and slight tone suck the NS-2 gives me. It is especially on Preamp pedals where the BOSS NS-2 totally sucks balls compared to the G-String II. To be honest, the Fortin Zuul is a bit quicker and tighter, but I find in noisy environments the Zuul bleeds a bit too much noise through unless you up the threshold so high you kill the sustain. The G String II is a perfect compromise - not as quick as the Zuul, but still quick enough, therefore no noise bleed, super neutral in sound and let's notes ring through greatly.

If you run that Heavy Metal pedal all the way like that you're going to get noise no matter what you do.

I've never heard a Boss Heavy Metal pedal that loud. Something has to be wrong with it. I've owned mine for at least 20 years and I've never heard it make a racket like that.

Hi Mike! Thank you for your message. This pedal is old an original HM-2, that we're noisier, but also sounded rawer that the latest versions. We have written a long article about how to use noise gate in different applications, please check it out for more inspiration: customboards.fi/pages/get-rid-of-that-noise-the-different-uses-for-a-noise-suppressor With Best Regards Kimmo Aroluoma

Because of the wrong Voltage. Its 12 volt AC. Running it with a 9v adapter gives it that horrible sound..
@Jimboslice9113 жыл бұрын
Dude, don't run G strings through the pre-amp, it goes at the beginning of the chain in the loop... turn everything on, turn G strings all the way up. Then crank your amp where you want to setup, and all OD or distortion on, then strum the strings and slowly back off the G strings till you reach peak sound. Good to go.

Hi Jimbo! Thank you for your comment. We have actually written a whole guide of best practices of using ISP Decimator. Please check it out: customboards.fi/pages/get-rid-of-that-noise-the-different-uses-for-a-noise-suppressor From the same guide, you can find various articles about effects, pedalboards, and power supplies. Pretty much everything needed to build your own rig. Best Regards Kimmo Aroluoma/Custom Boards

Dude, for only 1 pedal plugged in and a volume so low we can hear the raw string attack in the room, that rig is ridiculously noisy. Sounds like something is seriously wrong.

Hi there! Thank you for your message and shame if you did find our video too confusing. Please check out this very popular article that we have written. It has everything written down with diagrams, which should help you further understanding how ISP Decimator operates: customboards.fi/pages/get-rid-of-that-noise-the-different-uses-for-a-noise-suppressor Best Regards Kimmo Aroluoma
