Amazing run! To add to the description the Switch version of this game also removed the Ai No Uta Easter egg where the Pikmin would sing part of the song if you had 20 of each type on the field. A damn shame cause I loved that Easter egg.

I think I’ve played through Pikmin 2 a solid 15 times over all my consoles and save files, and I’ve never once thought to exit emergence cave to get extra purples for white flower garden early. That is actual genius.

I don‘t really see the point in it. Day 3 is easily manageable by doing White Flower Garden second and focusing on letting the 15 white Pikmin tare down walls after. I‘d much rather just get out of Day 2 earlier because I dislike the first 2 days for their dullness after playing them so many times. The only reason I could see is if you need the extra 10 to be able to get 100 purples for the Doomsday treasure, but I don‘t know how many purples you get by traversing the game up until that point

@@TGSM128 the different overworld segments. 2.1 is the start of day 2, and then IceCube enters Emergence Cave, where time of day does not advance, so for the purposes of this challenge the cave segments don’t really matter. So 2.2 is then right after exiting Emergence Cave, where time of day once again is advancing, and so that section is really important to follow along with. Does that make sense?

i saw 8 days and was stupefied at how fast you could beat such a long game in such a short amount of time especially one without (to my knowledge) any major warp glitches... then i saw the video length... then i remembered that caves don't progress time... Regardless incredibly impressive and very fun to watch

By the way, if anyone's reading these, the planted Pikmin sprouting is separate from the day timer. So, on day 1 and in caves, Pikmin can flower if you wait long enough.

3:48:29 That frog falling down a little bit slower than usual prevented so many deaths it's insane I swear it's the scariest monster in the entire game, it actually killed one of my captains by locking him in place and I couldn't do anything but watch it during 30 seconds. After the death of dozens of my Pikmin because it just locks them in place, I used most of my sprays on them because they're just terrifying
