1 more thing, sorry for overload. When you upgrade to stone walls the orientation does not matter both sides are the same. I gave up trying to keep everything consistent in big builds. It is hard to ignore at first but saved a ton of time.

- Keep in mind that your main character can respawn, your other tribesmen are gone when they die (there is a tool to respawn them, but reset to the unleveled way they are when you first get them to join the tribe). An option is to leave one "tribe member" slot free, "deter" the first person you encounter on an outing, then deploy that "temp" member and have them follow you and help fight till they die. - Just set up a lone foundation and place walls on - it'll default to proper walls facing out and in. Only when you place walls between two foundations or floors - or connected to already reversed walls - will it willingly swap wall direction. - You don't have to go bow if you don't like them - there's a range of thrown weapons, including some splattering and explosive types. - You can unequip your weapon and punch them when they are close to deterence level. - Bonfire upkeep is just "keep wood in the bonfire." Base maintenance is lower on the list, "Camp Upkeep." - You can farm by placing seed on your hotbar, selecting it and placing it with your mouse. The same with a water pot or bucket, fertilizer, pesticide. That's also how you fill water troughs. When your mask hits 25 strength, you can build a grainery and your tribeys will handle it way better than you can. Same with raising animals - you can do it yourself, manually filling the water and food trough, the tribey just does it better once you hit mask strength 25. Edit: Watering things requires the "Water tank" or bucket, not "water bottles" - that one had me hung up for a while. - I've noticed that my wall torches seem to get brighter the longer I leave them in place. Not sure what that's about. - Repair losing durability is a server/game setting. Completely customizable. - Monkeys are golden - they gather food/fruit and place it in a stump. If there's a group on monkeys nearby, you can keep raiding their tree stump for food. You can also capture a tribe on monkeys with a small trap and place your own monket nest tree stump for them to fill. The fruit drinks and food you can make from their supplies directly boost tribe member's mood. - Make a construction hammer - it skips the slow pickup, instantly moves, picks up, etc. Makes it easy to move, move again, move again, each with a quick click.

There is no setting for more tech points. You are able to reset your points so you can temporarily learn more weapons etc. make them then reset. Later on there are objects in the dungeons and world that add more tech points. This is the main setting I feel is missing from single player. The spear works great with dual blades both being agility based weapons. I use the throw on it instead of carrying bow and arrows. The ring, neck and gloves are easy to make and provide a lot of stats. Taking care of animals is easy the slaughter station becomes relevant later when pen is full and for collecting feces etc.. If you capture a male and female they will breed on their own. I would not touch farming until I can make the granary then plan on having a full time farmer. When deterring villagers you can use your fists instead of a weapon when they are closer to the range to keep from killing them. Especially useful for weaker npc's like crafters in Flint Village that only attack you with their trades tool. I would get used to making a lot of weapons, armor and tools it is great exp. for them and eventually they will also need to defend themselves so extras will be used. Goal is to always have tribesmen working at their best talents. You can only have one tribesman assigned to a bench but it is easy to make multiples. You want to keep the highest level on the right stations. Benches have mod slots in them later on that will increase their size so leave more room than you think you need. Played a lot of this game still figuring it out but it should help.

You can get feces from animals you capture. You can also use them for storage when you go out. You whistle and they follow you. Saddles can be made for some of them like Llama and there is another that I found too that does that.

You can get more tribe people when you upgrade your mask... Also the walls will snap to the outer foundations the way there meant to be so I'm afraid you have them back to front but if you craft a building hammer you can retrieve them a lot faster

Until they figure out how to prevent the tools from being deposited on the wrong side of the repair bench, they won't be able to auto-repair them. But you can have someone assigned to the repair bench, and if you put the broken tools into the correct side, they will fix them and take them back to the chest you have marked for tools. So, there is a manual step. You will probably want to rename your tool storage box to toolbox or something like that.

ya, I think you were commenting on my comment on the previous video. Probably, the way I type it leads to some confusion. You have to do the step of putting broken tools on the bench. But afterward, you kick off the mass repair, and they will take the fixed tools back to the toolbox. Then, the harvest-tasked people will pick up the repaired tools and use them till they break them all.

you can use the farm now. but you just can't automate it until you build a granary. you can manually plant stuff (1 crop per farmland). get someone making fertilizer and compost from the fertilizer bucket and manage the farm yourself until you get the tech to automate. thats how I got my cotton

you can manage the pens yourself until level 25. I think the setting for points is to increase how many STAT points for physical, agility, endurance etc you get per level.

i would recommend putting your chests in the same building as your work benches, and trying to add another door, they like to get caught on each other if they are trying to use the same door at the same time. and i would also recommend making like 30 wooden chests, they will fill up way faster than you think, and if you dont catch it, and they get bogged down, its pretty annoying to make enough chests to get caught back up when all their inventories are full.

Hey Kage I think the main difference you may want to consider with the different bows is draw speed, the bow is 1 sec. and the long bow is 2 sec. I went with the bow so I can get more arrows into my enemies quicker

With the breeding you can manually feed and water them. Just the npc will not manage it until level 25 but the food lasts a long time so not a big deal. I have 2 turkeys lucked out got a m and a f and went out looting came back had 3 went out again and came back and have 4. And I put in a handful of locusts and I still havnt topped up the water as when it rains it tops that up as well.

To separate enemies , make a bone spear and throw it at the enemy and pull him towards you. Also you can order your tribes man to follow you and fight with you

Your walls are facing the wrong way. When a foundation does NOT have a side exposed to the outside you can flip the walls around. When the foundation has a side exposed to the outside the walls will only fit one way (with the outside facing the wilderness). When you added the foundation "outside" of your base, you transferred the "outside" to your temporary foundation, which allowed you to flip the wall. Also as a side note, you did not need all those triangle foundations. You just needed the one triangle for the corner. The whole side you did in triangles could be rebuilt using square foundations and square roof tiles. This would allow you to recover a lot of wood foundation and roof pieces as right now you're using two triangle foundations where one square foundation would work. The same applies to the roof.

look in your blueprints and set down the sitting mats. looks like a circular rug. if placed just right, you can get a bunch of them around the Bonfire where your tribesfolk can sit down to rest. set your animal pens into a cluster for access and consider building additional fences for defense againt local wildlife/raiders. while you can deter a number of new minions, you can only have 1 following you. I'm not sure if you can have a follower carry someone. but the Devs should at least allow you to let tribesfolk passively follow while keeping the current single companion.

The walls doesnt matter which way they face, there is no inside or outside hit points wise, also you need stairs so you guys dont get stuck on the ground. Also the reason you couldnt use your special ability in combat was you had no stamina. Dont forget to use Q to scan when attacking an outpost to spot enemies and see what lvl they are. You can manage and breed animals yourself before 25, just cant assign someone to do it for you.

Here's a secret keep crafting things yourself also this will give you proficiency and that allows you to better do things especially once you reach certain proficiency levels you can then choose perks

Awesome video! But a thought came to mind about Sons Of The Forest. I'm not sure if anyone has recomended it before, but maybe you could add overhangs on your walls to keep the enemies from jumping over them, the enemies may hit their heads on the bottom of the overhangs instead of jumping over them. 🤔🤔🤔

you can breed animals but you have to do everything yourself until you unlock the farm
