Sakeus Kafula grew up watching common agricultural practices in northern Namibia and the resulting signs of land degradation. This ignited his interest in studying agriculture and finding restoration solutions. He founded Prime Biochar in 2017, a proud Namibian product made from encroacher bush biomass.
It aids to retain soil moisture and nutrients, thereby building healthy soils for thousands of years to come. While biochar is relatively new in Namibia, it has enormous potential for a myriad of applications, including carbon sequestration.
