I run the black base Gaio and I feel like it’s more stable. With extra protection I can have the starter deck black Tai. So I keep my lv4 or sometimes lv5 in the raising area then gets to Gaio with either piercing 2 checks or swinging at their boss digimon. With MetalGreyX I reboot or they unsuspend then trashes their top security as well. That’s 19k blocker or 18k with memory +1 when blocking with double tai. I got 12 rookies which are all searchers and 3 trainings as well. Also 2 hades

Yeah I've tested black base as well. The point of this version is to burst damage 5 security and then force your opponent to out Gaiomon on their turn or lose immediately. It can also grind though if you don't see the full 5 security combo on your first stack.

Dang. Maybe if he put those trainings in, he might not have bricked as hard game 3. 😅 personally I cut 1 ai and mako, 1 blast mode, and the Baal x. I’m also not playing x antibody option so I have a little bit of wiggle room. I really like the ability to warp from imp into beelze and then to beelze x, but there are already enough cards in the deck that do nothing by themselves imo. 😥

Conceding is so weird to me. Like, I get the idea, but you never know what's gonna happen in those Security Checks.

Sometimes in the interest of time it makes sense to concede when you know that game is a lost cause. Here I think Ben only wanted to concede with 5 security because we were just testing. I think in tournament he never concedes from that position.

I can understand this argument. I still don't agree. Especially in a casual environment like Drasil, I think you should play it out to the very very end. But I understand and respect this point of view.

Space for training ? Doesn't exist. Beelzemon is so limited to space. Ultimately death stingers and wizardmon does the same job

You don't play the trainings for the evo reduction. You play them for the boost in consistency.

Why did you keep the first hand?

I debated on it briefly, but decided to keep it because this list only had 10 rookies. So the odds of me being punished with no rookie if I mulliganed was higher than I wanted to risk. Also having the tamers gave me a play on at least my first 2 turns. So I wouldn't just be hard passing. I wasn't happy about keeping it though.

@@DigiSean37 Ah okay! I also have a Gaiomon deck, but I actually always go with 12 rookies, otherwise I brick so quickly
