Please don't take it the wrong way, but in God's ears, this is not necessarily amazing worship, at least not any more amazing than a 100-year old granny with hardly any voice left singing this song, accompanied by a single piano or guitar. Remember how God says in 1st Samuel ch 16, that He looks at the heart of a person rather than the outside? Likewise, God says he accepts worship that is offered in Spirit and truth, offered from the heart. As long as worship is done sincerely from the heart, you can have the worst singing voice in the world, and it is utterly beautiful to God's ears. God just wants us to make a "joyful noise" unto Him. We can apply the same concept to our own worship. As long as we offer our worship from the heart, God accepts and loves it. If we're thinking about what we're going to eat for lunch while worshiping, it won't matter one bit how beautifully we may be singing. I don't fault you for thinking this video is "amazing worship" however. We humans tend to be impressed by nice things, handsome/beautiful people, beautiful voices....but God sees the heart first and foremost.

It made me think just now of a lady I heard. I went to a small Baptist Church for awhile to find a good evening service. They were all very nice. They had an older lady playing piano. They also let her play while the offering was collected and this was the exact same way she played. She was all over those keys and was AMAZING and annointed. I felt like giving her a standing ovasion every single week. Haha. I will never forget her. Sadly, it was the deadest Church I have ever been to. I believe if Jesus had walked through the door, they still wouldn't be excited. It had to be tough on the preacher, preaching to the dead. God bless that lady, though.

It is Anthony Burger, one of the absolute best without a doubt. Taken from us too soon. He passed while performing on stage during a concert aboard a Gaither Caribbean Cruise. Anthony Burger he was amazing and he tells his story how he burned his hands as a baby and they said he would never be able to use them and look what God has done!! He passed away a few years ago he is deeply missed!!!

In the bible when it speaks of angels singing holy holy, did you ever try to imagine what that must sound like. I often wonder how Beautiful they must be singing in the presence of our Heavenly Father. When I hear David phelps sing this as near to perfection as humanly possible, it gives me pause to think.. this is as close to angelic singing that I will experience here on earth. This always brings tears to my eyes. Thank you God for blessing David with this gift and for his dedication for polishing this gift and sharing with all. Amen. The piano player did an amazing job. Breathtakingly beautiful and inspiring version! Wow! It's unpredictable in live settings, especially regarding structural acoustics, but I wish that chorus hadn't drowned out [somewhat] Phelps' glorious ending verses and crescendos. I can't blame then though -- everyone was, understandably, taken completely out of themselves in the awe of that moment's experience. Not that the way the event unfolded wasn't exactly what helped convey the WOW-mood of the video. I'm just saying I really wanted to hear his voice more at the end.
